Measurement of ruthenium activity in ruthenium-palladium-rhodium alloys

燃料からのルテニウム(Ru)放出モデルで使用されるRu-パラジウム(Pd)-ロジウム(Rh)合金中におけるRu活量を、独自に開発した熱重量分析結果に基づく簡便な手法により求めた。熱力学計算で得られたRu活量との比較により、開発した手法が妥当であることを確認した。

For improvement of the existed ruthenium (Ru) release model from fuel in a severe accident, Ru activity of Ru-palladium (Pd)-rodium (Rh) alloys was experimentally determined. A simple experimental method by thermogravimetric analysis has been proposed, and the dependence of Ru activity on temperature was evaluated. The experimental results confirmed the validity of obtained values by thermodynamic calculation.
