High-resolution scintillation neutron detector for ToF neutron diffraction imaging

A two-dimensional neutron detector with a spatial resolution of 200 um was developed for neutron diffraction imaging at J-PARC MLF. The detector was designed by using a thin scintillator screen and wavelength shifting fibers to fulfill the requirement for our demonstrative diffraction experiment planed in the MLF. In this paper design and experimental results of the developed detector are presented.
