JSNS2 (J-PARC Sterile Neutrino Search at J-PARC Spallation Neutron Source) is a short baseline neutrino oscillation experiment searching for appearance oscillation caused by sterile neutrinos in Material and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) of J-PARC. The JSNS2 detector consists of 17 tons of Gadolinium loaded liquid scintillator (Gd-LS) contained in an acrylic vessel at the center of the detector and 33 tons of unloaded liquid scintillator. The Gd-LS layer is a fiducial volume for neutrino detection via the inverse beta-decay using the delayed coincidence method. The acrylic vessel has been manufactured in Taiwan, and its quality has been investigated from the viewpoints of detector performance and safety. In this presentation, we report the design and the result of the surveys of optical properties, geometry, pressure resistance and leakage, and present status of the detector construction.
