SENJU at BL18 of MLF is a TOF single-crystal neutron diffractometer designed for precise crystal and magnetic structure analyses under multiple extreme environments such as low-temperature, high-pressure and high-magnetic field, as well as for taking diffraction intensities of small single crystals with a volume of less than 1.0 mm$$^{3}$$ down to 0.1 mm$$^{3}$$. Ever since SENJU was launched in 2012, continuous upgrading of diffractometer, detector, data acquisition and analysis software and sample environment devices have been carried out to enhance the capability of SENJU as a versatile single-crystal diffractometer. In this presentation, some recent upgradings and scientific results of SENJU will be shown.
