Agricultural ponds are an essential part of Fukushima's livelihood. Many ponds were contaminated due to the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident. The behavior and decreasing rate of radiocesium in the ponds are important for radiation protection and resumption of agricultural activities. Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) developed an in-situ measurement method for monitoring distribution of radiocesium in ponds using plastic scintillation fibers (PSF). We present results of spatial-temporal variation in radiocesium concentration based on PSF measurements of agricultural ponds, between 2013 and 2018, supported by core sampling.
