軽水炉シビアアクシデント時の炉内のCs分布・性状評価において重要なステンレス鋼へのCs化学吸着挙動について、水蒸気雰囲気下での実験を行った。その結果、水素水蒸気混合雰囲気下でこれまで見つかっていたCs-Si-(Fe)-O系の化学吸着生成化合物とは異なり、Cs-Cr-O系化合物が生成する可能性のあることがわかった。

Experiment on Cs chemisorption behavior onto stainless steel, which can significantly influence Cs distribution and property within nuclear reactor during light water reactor severe accident, was performed under steam atmosphere. The experimental result indicated that a Cs-Cr-O compound was formed instead of Cs-(Fe)-Si-O compounds, which are known to be formed under mixed hydrogen and steam atmospheres.
