Japan's perspective of advanced reactor development

It is reported that a NEXIP program has been started to accelerate nuclear innovation, for which advanced reactor development is being encouraged and supported by using R&D facilities. The current status of experimental reactors of fast reactor and high temperature gas reactor in JAEA is reported. This report includes that the current emergency preparedness and response in Japan is developed according to IAEA safety guides.
