Flaw evaluation on an indication at the weld joint of pressurizer spray line of Ohi Nuclear Power Station Unit-3

関西電力大飯発電所3号機の配管溶接部に対する超音波探傷試験において、有意な指示が認められた。当該部位の健全性確認のため、関西電力により維持規格に従った亀裂進展計算及び破壊評価が実施された。本資料は、関西電力が実施した亀裂進展計算及び破壊評価に対して、原子力機構が独立して評価等を行った結果をまとめたものである。関西電力による計算結果の確認に加えて、影響因子に係る感度解析として、配管内表面の表層部の硬化層の影響を考慮した亀裂進展計算及び破壊評価を実施するとともに、技術基準として使用が求められている維持規格事例規格代替案に基づいて許容亀裂深さを評価した。その結果、(1)関西電力と原子力機構の亀裂進展計算の結果が一致すること、(2)関西電力と原子力機構の破壊評価の結果に相違があり、関西電力がZ係数算出式における対数関数を自然対数としたことが相違の原因と推定されること、及び(3)配管内表面表層部の硬化層が亀裂進展計算及び破壊評価の結果に大きな影響を及ぼすことが明らかとなった。

In KEPCO's Ohi Nuclear Power Station Unit-3, an indication was detected from ultrasonic test on the weld joint in the pipe. To ensure the structural integrity of the weld joint, crack growth and allowable applied bending stress were calculated by the KEPCO. In this document, the calculated results by KEPCO were checked by JAEA. In addition, as the sensitivity analysis of the influential factor, the crack growth and allowable applied bending stress were also calculated with consideration of the hardened layer at the inner surface of the pipe. Moreover, according to the alternative rule required by the regulation, allowable crack depth was calculated. As the results, the following items were clarified: (1) as for the crack growth calculation, the results of KEPCO are consistent with those of JAEA, (2) as for the calculation of allowable applied bending stress, there are differences between the KEPCO results and the JAEA results. The differences are due to the fact that KEPCO used the logarithmic function in Z factor formula as a natural logarithm function, (3) the hardened layer at the inner surface of the pipe has a significant effect on calculation results of crack growth, allowable applied bending stress, and allowable crack depth.
