Anisotropic physical properties of layered antiferromagnet UPtGa $_{15}$

A uranium intermetallic compound UPtGa $_{15}$ was successfully synthesized. This compound crystallizes in the hexagonal Sc $_{0.6}$ FeSi $_{4.9}$ -type structure. Antiferromagnetic transition with highly magnetic anisotropy was established by the physical property measurements.
