Spinmotive force approach on the physics of emergent inductors

We present a theory of emergent inductors based on two well-established spintronics effects: spin-transfer torque (STT) and spinmotive force (SMF) within the adiabatic approximation of magnetization dynamics. The focus is on the nonadiabatic contributions of the STT and SMF, which can explain the unique characteristics such as the negative value and temperature dependence of the emergent inductance observed recently.
