Predictions of $$beta$$-decay half-lives and neutron capture cross sections of neutron-rich nuclei

Minato, Futoshi

To understand $$r$$-process nucleosynthesis, $$beta$$ decay half-lives and neutron capture cross sections of neutron-rich nuclei are the important information. Half-lives of many unstable nuclei have been measured using with RI beam, while neutron-capture cross sections remain unexplored experimentally. Even for half-lives, a lot of nuclei that are relevant to the $$r$$-process are not measured yet. From this respect, numerical data predicted by theoretical models play an important role and have been embedded in $$r$$-process simulations. We recently calculated the half-lives systematically in neutron-rich regions by a newly developed model using a Bayesian approach to improve the prediction power of the theoretical model. We present in this talk our result of half-life comparing with results of other models. We also discuss neutron capture cross sections of neutron-rich nuclei estimated with a Bayesian approach and its future perspectives.
