The Analysis of physical property of Lu$${_2}$$Fe$${_3}$$O$${_7}$$ using impedance spectroscopy

Fukada, Yukimasa*; Fukuyama, Ryota*; Fujiwara, Kosuke*; Yoshii, Kenji  ; Ikeda, Naoshi*

The system ${it R}$Fe$$_{2}$$O$$_{4}$$(${it R}$FeO$$_{3}$$)n (${it R}$ = rare earth, n = integer) has been attracted attention from the view of both its magnetic and electric properties. These materials show magnetic order as well as ferroelectricity from the order of Fe ions. We report the analysis of the electrical resistivity and the dielectric permittivity of Lu$$_{2}$$Fe$$_{3}$$O$$_{7}$$ on the impedance spectroscopy with the distribution of relaxation time. From the resistance variation affected by the elapsed time and the experience temperature, the so-called charge glass behavior was observed. That is, some parameters such as resistance and dielectric constant showed the memory effect during the temperature change. We propose the equivalent circuit model to explain the result of experiments. In addition, considering spin glass behavior of this system, the results suggests the correlation between dielectric properties and magnetism.
