Brief introduction to research on geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste

本講演では、わが国の地層処分の概要とその背景や経緯について説明した。また、研究開発分野のうち工学技術および地層処分システムの性能評価の研究開発の概要を人工バリアの性能確認試験等を踏まえ解説した。さらに、最近の研究事例として熱力学データの選定に関する取り組みや考え方について紹介した。

This presentation outlined the framework and background of Japan's geological disposal research, and outlined the engineering technology and the performance assessment of geological disposal systems in the research and development fields. As a recent research topic, selection of thermodynamic data was introduced.
