Efforts to improve accident response capabilities during nuclear fuel transportation

We have been conducting nuclear fuel transportation accident drills jointly with fire agencies since 2002. The purpose of these drills is to improve the capabilities to respond to nuclear fuel transportation accidents. By devising practical drills, we were able to strengthen our partnership with the fire agencies. We have also contributed to fire agencies improving their capabilities to respond to nuclear fuel transportation accidents. This report describes our efforts to improve accident response capabilities, including the details of the drill.
