パルス中性子実験における中性子世代と時間の関係

Relationship between Neutron Generation and Time in Pulsed Neutron Experiment

パルス中性子実験によって未臨界度が精度よく求まる条件について考察するため、核分裂によって生じた中性子が次の核分裂を起こすまでを1世代とした時、検出器で観測される中性子の平均世代数と時間との関係を調べた。精度良い未臨界度測定のためには、平均世代が時間との間に線形性があることが重要である可能性を見出した。

To investigate the condition where the subcriticality can be accurately measured by the pulsed neutron source experiment, we have calculated the average number of the generation of the detected neutron when defining the generation as a period during which a fission neutron causes a next fission. The results revealed that the linearity between the average number of the generation and time is important for the accurate subcriticality measurement.
