2018年から開始された高速増殖原型炉もんじゅにおける廃止措置は、廃止措置第1段階の主要工程となる2次系ナトリウムの抜取り・固化及び燃料体取出し作業を完遂し、2023年度より廃止措置第2段階へ移行した。本稿では、前号(保全学vol.23 2024 No1)「もんじゅ廃止措置の動向;その1もんじゅ廃止措置第1段階の完遂」に引続き、もんじゅ廃止措置第2段階の概要を説明するとともに廃止措置の進捗に伴い変化する性能維持施設の見直しとそれに合わせた保全プログラムの構築及び本格的解体が開始される第3段階に向けての取組みについて解説する。

The decommissioning of the Monju prototype fast breeder reactor, which began in 2018, has completed sodium removal and solidification of the secondary sodium system and fuel body removal, the main processes of the first stage of decommissioning, and moved to the second stage of decommissioning from fiscal 2023. Following the previous issue of "Monju Decommissioning Trend - Part 1: Completion of the 1st stage of Monju decommissioning" (Maintenance Science vol.23 No.1, 2024), this report describes the outline of the 2nd stage of Monju decommissioning, the review of the performance maintenance facilities that will change with the progress of decommissioning, the construction of the maintenance programme according to the review, and the maintenance of the 3rd stage of Monju, which will start full-scale dismantling.
