We developed a non-destructive 3D elemental analysis technique with CdTe double-sided strip detectors (CdTe-DSD) at J-PARC for an archaeological sample. The sample, a melting pot from the Edo period, was excavated at the Yotsuya 1-chome site. The muon analysis allowed us to investigate the chemical reactions that occurred in the pot. A 3D image of silicon in the 72-78 keV range was reconstructed using an iterative algorithm, demonstrating that this method is effective for analyzing artifacts without damage.
