J-PARC E88 experiment is proposed to study $$phi$$ meson mass modification in nuclei in 30 GeV p+A collisions with extremely high statistics. In KEK-E325 experiment, reduction of phi mass inside Cu nucleus at the lowest $$betagamma$$ was observed. In this experiment, we will collect $$sim 1$$M decay events, in p+C, p+Cu, and p+Pb collisions. With the high-statistics events, we will study the momentum dependence of $$phi$$ mass shift with high accuracy. We aim to evaluate $$overline{s}s$$ condensate in a nucleon with the zero-momentum extrapolation of the mass shift. Furthermore, we will study the dispersion relations for longitudinally and transversely polarized $$phi$$ separately, which are predicted to differ in the QCD sum rules. In this presentation, we will show the experimental feasibility, the detector R&D status, and the prospect.
