High-accuracy measurement of the neutron capture cross-section of $$^{129}$$I in the keV-neutron region at ANNRI

The neutron capture cross-section of $$^{129}$$I was measured in the keV-neutron region with high-accuracy at the ANNRI beamline of J-PARC. The neutron capture cross section was obtained using a NaI(Tl) spectrometer by means of the neutron filtering technique with a 20-cm-thick Si filter. In the present work, the $$^{129}$$I neutron capture cross-section results determined at the averaged neutron energies of 51.5 and 127.7 keV and presented and compared to evaluated and past experimental data.
