For the decommissioning work of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, we are developing analytical techniques using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) for remote analysis of samples containing nuclear fuel materials such as fuel debris. In this presentation, we will explain the principles and features of remote analysis using LIBS, and introduce the current progress.
