Progress of licensing applications in accordance with the development of research projects on J-PARC

Since receiving operational approval in 2006, J-PARC has obtained successive modification permits as its projects advanced, including facility expansions and increased proton beam intensity. Procedures required under the Ibaraki Prefecture Nuclear Safety Agreement were carried out in parallel. This presentation summarizes the history of these permits, with emphasis on the major changes made in FY2021.
