Data collection and compilation on the distribution of igneous dikes, 1; Collection and maintenance status in southwestern Japan, from the Chubu region to Kyushu

地層処分のサイト選定や安全評価において、野外で認められる岩脈は、火山・火成活動の影響範囲を評価する上で重要な情報となる。岩脈は、先行研究により地質図上に示されていることも多く、事前の調査においてその分布をある程度把握できる可能性がある。しかしながら、火成岩脈の位置や性状などの系統的な情報の収集・整理は行われてこなかった。そこで我々は、まずは全国的に整備されている20万分の1地質図幅から「岩脈類」をGIS上に抽出し、地質時代ごとの整理を試みた。ここでは収集対象範囲である「北陸・中部及び近畿」、「中国・四国」及び「九州」の中部地方~九州地方の西南日本における火成岩脈と古カルデラ・コールドロン情報の収集結果について報告する。

In site selection and safety assessment for geological disposal, dikes observed in the field provide important information for assessing the extent of the impact of volcanic and igneous activity. Dikes have often been shown on geological maps in previous studies, and their distribution may be understood to some extent through preliminary surveys. However, systematic collection and organization of information on the location and properties of igneous dikes has not been attempted. Therefore, we first extracted "dikes" from the nationwide 1:200,000 geological maps on a GIS and attempted to organize them by geological period. Here, we report the results of our collection of information on igneous dikes and ancient calderas/cauldrons in southwestern Japan, covering the Chubu to Kyushu regions of Hokuriku, Chubu, and Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu.
