We have performed the neutron scattering study of antiferromagnet UPt
Al
with the honeycomb lattice to determine the magnetic structure. U
Pt
Al
exhibits two phase transitions at
= 9 K and
= 26 K. In phase I at
, the magnetic reflections described by a propagation vector
= (1/3, 0, 0) were observed. In phase II at
, magnetic reflections of
= (1/3, 0, 0) and
= (1/2, 0, 0) were observed and the magnetic reflection intensity of
= (1/3, 0, 0) is weak but finite. The hysteresis in the temperature dependent intensities is observed across the phase transition at
, suggesting that the transition at
is of first order.

was investigated using the
Si nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique. We investigated the temperature and pressure dependencies of
-independent local fluctuations caused by the single-site Kondo effect. A universal scaling behavior observed on the energy scale of the local fluctuations in an entire pressure region demonstrates that a characteristic energy scale
of Kondo interactions monotonically increases by applying pressure without a critical anomaly around the quantum critical pressure
of antiferromagnetism. Our NMR result agrees with the Doniach picture of the heavy-fermion phase diagram, where the progressive delocalization of the
-electrons occurs across
, accompanied by the development of antiferromagnetic correlations among the
-electrons.

Si
with a tetragonal ThCr
Si
-type structure has been performed using single crystals. The Knight shifts along the
and
axes have been measured as a function of temperatures in the paramagnetic state. At ambient pressure, the Knight shifts show the Ising-type anisotropy along the
axis, which is similar to the magnetic susceptibility. The hyperfine coupling constants for
Si along the
and
axes have been determined from Knight shifts versus static susceptibility plots.

el temperature
K has been investigated by nuclear magnetic/quadrupole resonance (NMR/NQR).
In-NQR spectra in the paramagnetic state give the respective electrical field gradient parameters for the locally tetragonal and orthorhombic In(1) and In(2) sites. In the antiferromagnetic state at 4.5 K,
In-NMR spectra in zero external field indicate a commensurate antiferromagnetic structure. The internal field at In(1) sites is found to be zeroand that at In(2) sites is 21.1 kOe at 4.5 K. The temperature (
) dependence of the nuclear relaxation rates
in the paramagnetic state shows a distinct site-dependence: Korringa-like constant
behavior below
150 K for In(1) sites and a divergent behavior of
toward
for In(2). The plausible antiferromagnetic structure is discussed based on these observations.

is a paramagnetic heavy fermion compound with the electronic specific heat coefficient
of 350 mJ/mol K
. When a magnetic field is applied along the [001] direction of its tetragonal ThCr
Si
structure, it exhibits metamagnetic transition at 7.7 T. On the other hand, when a magnetic field is applied in the (001) plane, metamagnetic transition does not occur. This magnetic anisotropy is maintained to lower Ce concentration samples. By replacing Ce with La, CeRu
Si
changes to antiferromagnet at
0.91 and finally to normal paramagnet of LaRu
Si
. In very low Ce concentration samples, the impurity Kondo effect is observed. The Kondo temperature of the
= 0.02 sample is about 1 K. We have successfully observed all the dHvA oscillations in the dilute Ce concentration samples with fields in the (001) plane. Moreover, we have observed the variation of the dHvA oscillations with temperature crossing the Kondo temperature.
