プラズマベースの過渡利得電子衝突励起方式のX線レーザーの発展により、小型でコヒーレントなX線光源が実現するとともに、幅広い応用研究への道が開かれている。本論文において、われわれは原子力機構において開発された2段階増幅のプラズマX線レーザーの出力位置での遠視野像に、予期しない同心円状の干渉縞が観測されたことを報告する。この模様はX線領域において初めて観察された蜃気楼現象と考えることができる。われわれは、実験条件下でのX線の伝搬を表すマクスウエル=ブロッホ方程式を解く方法を開発した。その結果、仮想的な点光源から発せられるように見えるX線の蜃気楼がさらにプラズマのレーザー効果で増幅することにより今回観測した干渉縞が発現したことを見いだした。今回得られた結果は、レーザー生成プラズマにおけるX線増幅現象の物理の本質に新しい視点を落とすとともに、X線によるプラズマ診断法や極端紫外線リソグラフィー(EUV)の新しい可能性を開くものである。

Review of results, obtained by using recently proposed new imaging detector, based on formation of color centers in LiF crystal and LiF film, for in situ high performance measurements of near-field and far-field properties of soft X-ray lasers (SXRL) beams is presented. Experiments have been carried out with laser-driven transient-collision plasma SXRL, free electron SXRL, and relativistic HOH beams. It was demonstrated that due to favorable combination of high spatial resolution, high dynamic range and wide field of view, that this technique allows measuring not only intensity distribution across the full beam and in local areas with resolution of $$sim$$ 700 nm, but also allows to evaluate coherence and spectral distribution of radiation across the beam. Experimental diffraction patterns in the images of periodical structures are analyzed by comparison with the modeled ones in the last case. Good agreement between experimental and modeling data was obtained.

We demonstrated that sub-micron resolution, high dynamic range LiF detectors, based on the formation under EUV and soft X-ray irradiation of optically active color centers, allowed applying a single shot imaging technique for characterizing relativistic high order harmonic beams, generated by an oscillating electron spikes formed in underdense gas jet plasma created by relativistically self-focusing laser pulses. The LiF film was used for near-field diffraction imaging of the HOH beam and investigation of its coherent properties. The focusability of the HOH beam was investigated using spherical Mo/Si mirror and LiF crystal. Using such technique the sizes and complexity of the HOH source structure have been measured.

Experimental founding of unknown interference structure in a spatial profile of the output beam of the two-stage plasma X-ray laser is reported. It is allowed us experimentally and theoretically discovers a new phenomenon - generation a phase-matched coherent point source of soft X-ray radiation in a plasma media by propagated X-ray laser seeded beam, which could additionally extend the applications of such lasers. We have developed a method of solving the Maxwell-Bloch equations, which has gave us finding that the observed phenomenon is due to the emergence in the plasma-amplifier of X-ray mirage in the form of the phase-matched coherent virtual point source.

A non-expectable, stable from shot to shot, intensity distribution in a form of interference pattern have been observed. It is shown that the interference is caused by an emerging of imaginary source in the amplifying plasma, which is phase-matched to radiation of generator. That firstly observed phenomenon is determined as X-ray coherent mirage. To explain the obtained result a new theoretical approach is developed.
