Since the acceleration period is set at a repetition rate of 25Hz, the eddy current effect due to such rapid repetition magnetic field is a big issue (i.e. the perturbation of the magnetic field and the heating owing to the ohmic loss) in the metal duct. Therefore, we choose the ceramics duct in the magnets in order to avoid the eddy current effect. But the total secondary electron emission yield (SEY) from the ceramics surface is larger than the metal one. In order to reduce these undesirable electron emitted from the chamber surface, Titanium Nitride (TiN) is coated on the inside surface of the chambers. We measured SEY from TiN coating surface with various conditions. We further investigated Diamond Like Carbon coating to search the possibility of another coating. The results of these measurements are shown.

An addition of small amount of boron to steal materials is known well that a it causes a big influence on the characteristic of steel materials, for example, an internal structure and intensity (hardness, toughness), corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and magnetic property. Although the nuclear steel which added boron attracted attention from half century ago, the research on boron steel serves as serious concerns from the standpoints to saving resources and a weight saving in the materials science field as a thin board steel plate used for vehicles etc. recently focusing on the industrial world. However, as compared with the element of others the amount of boron is remarkably small, generally 5-30 ppm, an understanding about the action of boron is not fully understood. To contribute to the X ray emission-spectrochemical-analysis research in the B-K luminescence line (wavelength: 6.76 nm, energy: 183.3 eV) neighborhood, high diffraction efficiency laminar-type diffraction gratings with multilayer film containing diamond-like carbon (DLC) system on the surface newly is under development, and, here, we report the newly designed gratings.
