CO)]), showed anti-ferromagnetic ordering at 15.0 K and an abrupt increase in magnetisation at H = 22 600 Oe and 2 K, thereby acting as a metamagnet. Neutron diffraction studies suggested that the magnetic moment vectors of the Co(II) ions had an amplitude of 3.59 mB and were not aligned in a fully antiparallel fashion to those of their neighbours, which caused canting between the magnetic moment vectors in the sheet. The canting angle was determined to be 7.1deg. Canting induced net magnetisation in the sheet, but this magnetisation was cancelled between sheets. The magnetisations in the sheets were oriented parallel to the magnetic field at the critical magnetic field.

It is shown that the neutron images we have obtained are almost free from granular noise, have a spatial resolution of 5.4 
m and a linear response with a dynamic range of at least 10
. The high contrast and good sensitivity of LiF crystals allow us to distinguish two holes with less than 2% transmittance difference. We propose to use such detectors in areas where high spatial resolution with high image gradation resolution is needed, including diagnostics of different plasma sources such as laser and z-pinch produced plasmas.

アクチノイドフラーレンはそのHPLC溶離挙動から2つのグループに分類することができる。第1のグループはU,Np,Amを内包した金属フラーレンでLa,Ce,Pr,Ndのような軽ランタノイドを内包したものと類似した溶離挙動を示しており、第2のグループはTh,Paを内包したもので、ランタノイドフラーレンとは全く異なった挙動を示している。溶出ピークの主成分は質量分析の結果から前者はM@C82、後者はM@C84であると同定され、内包されたU及び,Th原子の酸化状態は紫外可視近赤外吸収やX線吸収端近傍構造分光から、それぞれ3+及び、4+であることが推測される。

崩壊する放射性アクチノイドトレーサー(
Am,
Np,
U)を用いてアクチノイド金属内包フラーレンを合成し単離することに初めて成功するとともに、以下のような性質を明らかにした。放射性アクチノイドを含むフラーレンをアーク放電法で生成し、CS溶媒中に抽出された生成物をトルエン溶媒に溶かし、2種類のHPLCカラムの溶出挙動を得た。その結果Am,Np及びVを内包したフラーレンのHPLC挙動は+3価で内包されると考えられる軽ランタノイド(La,Ce,Pr,Ndなど)と良く似た挙動を示すことがわかった。ウランについては大量合成にも成功し、最も多い溶出部を対象にTOF/MSによる化学種同定を行った。その結果、この成分がU@C
であることを確認した。また紫外可視近赤外領域の光吸収スペクトルから、f軌道に3つの電子を持つNd@Cとの類似性を得ることができた。
