Measurement of the branching fraction of $$Xi_{c}^{0}to Lambda_{c}^{+}pi^{-}$$ at Belle

Based on a data sample of 983 fb$$^{-1}$$ collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $$e^+e^-$$ collider, we present the study of the heavy-flavor-conserving decay $$Xi_{c}^{0}to Lambda_{c}^{+}pi^{-}$$ with $$Lambda_{c}^{+}$$ reconstructed via its $$pK^{-} pi^{+}$$ decay mode. The branching fraction ratio $$mathcal{B}(Xi_{c}^{0}to Lambda_{c}^{+}pi^{-})/mathcal{B}(Xi_{c}^{0}to Xi^{-}pi^{+})$$ is measured to be $$0.38 pm 0.04 pm 0.04$$. Combing with the world average value of $$mathcal{B}(Xi_{c}^{0}to Xi^{-}pi^{+})$$, the branching fraction $$mathcal{B}(Xi_{c}^{0}to Lambda_{c}^{+}pi^{-})$$ is deduced to be $$(0.54 pm 0.05 pm 0.05 pm 0.12)%$$. Here, the uncertainties above are statistical, systematic, and from $$mathcal{B}(Xi_c^{0} to Xi^{-}pi^{+})$$, respectively.

Evidence for $$B^+ rightarrow h_c K^+$$ and observation of $$eta_c(2S) to p bar{p} pi^+ pi^-$$

A search for the decays $$B^+ rightarrow h_c K^+$$ and $$B^0 rightarrow h_c K_S^0$$ is performed. Evidence for the decay $$B^+ rightarrow h_c K^+$$ is found; its significance is $$4.8sigma$$. No evidence is found for $$B^0 rightarrow h_c K_S^0$$. The branching fraction for $$B^+ rightarrow h_c K^+$$ is measured to be $$(3.7^{+1.0}_{-0.9}{}^{+0.8}_{-0.8}) times 10^{-5}$$; the upper limit for the $$B^0 rightarrow h_c K_S^0$$ branching fraction is $$1.4 times 10^{-5}$$ at $$90%$$ C.L. In addition, a study of the $$p bar{p} pi^+ pi^-$$ invariant mass distribution in the channel $$B^+ to (p bar{p} pi^+ pi^-) K^+$$ results in the first observation of the decay $$eta_c(2S) to p bar{p} pi^+ pi^-$$ with $$12.1sigma$$ significance. The analysis is based on the 711 $$mathrm{fb}^{-1}$$ data sample collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy $$e^+ e^-$$ collider KEKB at the $$Upsilon(4S)$$ resonance.

Evidence for the decay $$B^0to pbar{p}pi^0$$

We report a search for the charmless baryonic decay $$B^0to pbar{p}pi^0$$ with a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 711~$$rm fb^{-1}$$ containing $$(772pm 10)times 10^6$$ $$B^0bar{B}^0$$ pairs. The data was collected by the Belle experiment running on the $$Upsilon(4S)$$ resonance at the KEKB $$e^+e^-$$ collider. We measure a branching fraction $$mathcal{B}(B^0to pbar{p}pi^0)= (5.0pm1.8pm0.6)times 10^{-7}$$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The signal has a significance of 3.1 standard deviations and constitutes the first evidence for this decay mode. We also search for the intermediate two-body decays $$B^{0}toDelta^+bar{p}$$ and $$B^0tobar{Delta}^-p$$, and set an upper limit on the branching fraction: $$mathcal{B}(B^0to Delta^+bar{p})+mathcal{B}(B^0tobar{Delta}^-p) < 1.6times10^{-6}$$ at 90% confidence level.
