Inclusive study of bottomonium production in association with an $$eta $$ meson in $$e^+e^-$$ annihilations near $$Upsilon (5S)$$

We study bottomonium production in association with an $$eta$$ meson in $$e^+e^-$$ annihilations near the $$Upsilon(5S)$$, at a center of mass energy of $$sqrt{s}=10.866,$$GeV. The results are based on the $$121.4,$$fb$$^{-1}$$ data sample collected by the Belle experiment at the asymmetric energy KEKB collider. Only the $$eta$$ meson is reconstructed and the missing-mass spectrum of $$eta$$ candidates is investigated. We observe the $$e^+e^-toetaUpsilon_J(1D)$$ process and find evidence for the $$e^+e^-toetaUpsilon(2S)$$ process, while no significant signals of $$Upsilon(1S)$$, $$h_b(1P)$$, nor $$h_b(2P)$$ are found. Cross sections for the studied processes are reported.

We report improved measurements of the product branching fractions $${cal B}(B^+ to bar{D}^0 D^{*+}_{s0}(2317)) times {cal B}(D^{*+}_{s0}(2317) to D^+_s pi^0)=(8.0^{+1.3}_{-1.2} pm 1.1 pm 0.4) times 10^{-4}$$ and $${cal B}(B^0 to D^- D^{*+}_{s0}(2317)) times {cal B}(D^{*+}_{s0}(2317) to D^+_s pi^0)=(10.2^{+1.3}_{-1.2} pm 1.0 pm 0.4) times 10^{-4}$$, where the first errors are statistical, the second are systematic and the third are from $$D$$ and $$D^+_s$$ branching fractions. In addition, we report negative results from a search for hypothesized neutral ($$z^0$$) and doubly charged ($$z^{++}$$) isospin partners of the $$D^{*+}_{s0}(2317)$$ and provide upper limits on the product branching fractions$${cal B}(B^0 to D^0 z^0) times {cal B}(z^0 to D^+_s pi^-)$$ and $${cal B}(B^+ to D^- z^{++}) times {cal B}(z^{++} to D^+_s pi^+)$$ that are more than an order of magnitude smaller than theoretical expectations for the hypotheses that the $$D^{*+}_{s0}(2317)$$ is a member of an isospin triplet. The analysis uses a 711 $${rm fb}^{-1}$$ data sample containing 772 million $$Bbar{B}$$-meson pairs collected at the $$Upsilon(4S)$$ resonance in the Belle detector at the KEKB collider.

Observation of $$X(3872)$$ in $$B to X(3872)Kpi$$ decays

We report the first observation of $$B^0 to X(3872)(K^+pi^-)$$ and evidence for $$B^+ to X(3872)(K^0pi^+)$$. We measure the product of branching fractions for the former to be $${cal B}(B^0 to X(3872)(K^+pi^-))times {cal B}(X(3872) to J/psi pi^+ pi^-)=(7.9 pm 1.3({rm stat}) pm 0.4({rm syst}))times 10^{-6}$$ and find that $$B^0 to X(3872)K^*(892)^0$$ does not dominate the $$B^0 to X(3872)K^+pi^-$$ decay mode. We also measure $${cal B}(B^+ to X(3872)(K^0pi^+))times {cal B}(X(3872) to J/psi pi^+ pi^-)=(10.6 pm 3.0({rm stat}) pm 0.9({rm syst})) times 10^{-6}$$. This study is based on the full data sample of 711 $${rm fb^{-1}}$$ ($$772 times 10^6 ; Bbar{B}$$ pairs) collected at the $$Upsilon(4S)$$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB collider.
