We investigated synthesis of polymer-coated porous SiO particles (SiO-P) using copolymerization of styrene and divinylbenzene monomers in the coexistence of SiO for preparing substrates of TEHDGA-impregnated absorbent. We found that the obtained TEHDGA-impregnated absorbent based on 1 wt% polymer-coated SiO (1 wt% SiO-P) clearly absorbed Eu(III) in 3M HNO solution.
