at the J-PARC muon facility. The goal of our experiment is to measure
and
using an independent method with a factor of 10 lower muon momentum, and a factor of 20 smaller diameter storage-ring solenoid compared with previous and ongoing muon g-2 experiments with unprecedented quality of the storage magnetic field. Additional significant differences from the present experimental method include a factor of 1000 smaller transverse emittance of the muon beam (reaccelerated thermal muon beam), its efficient vertical injection into the solenoid, and tracking each decay positron from muon decay to obtain its momentum vector. The precision goal for
is a statistical uncertainty of 450 parts per billion (ppb), similar to the present experimental uncertainty, and a systematic uncertainty less than 70 ppb. The goal for EDM is a sensitivity of

This is a report of highlights from 2007 spring meetings of seven Topical Groups (TG) of International Tokamak Physics Activity (ITPA). In each meeting, high priority issues in physics of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) and other burning plasma experiments have been discussed and investigated. Twenty-seven scientists from Japan have participated in those meetings. Dates and places of the meetings are shown below. (1) Diagnostics TG: 26-30 March, Princeton (USA), (2) Transport Physics TG: 7-10 May, Lausanne (Switzerland), (3) Confinement Database and Modeling TG: 7-10 May, Lausanne (Switzerland), (4) Edge Pedestal Physics TG: 7-10 May, Garching (Germany) (5) Steady State Operation TG: 9-11 May, Daejeon (South Korea), (6)MHD TG: 21-24 May, San Diego (USA), (7) Scrape-off-layer and Divertor Physics TG: 7-10 May, Garching (Germany).

The fluctuation of ponderomotive potential at a beat wave frequency between the two frequency fast waves produces the actual potential fluctuation via electron and ion motions. A heavy ion beam probe (HIBP) detected the potential fluctuation patterns at a beat wave frequency during the fast wave pulse. The amplitude of potential fluctuations decreases with increasing an electron temperature in fast wave current drive (FWCD) experiments of JFT-2M, due to the improvement of wave absorption via electron Landau damping. The measured potential fluctuation does not contradict with the prediction using a full wave code calculations.

We have investigated the successive phase transition in YFeO
, which shows charge-ordering-induced ferroelectricity below about 330 K. This material has been reported to show complex phase transitions below 330 K. In this work we have studied the structure and physical properties of YFe
O
synthesized in a variety of preparation conditions, and have found that slight changes of the conditions led to drastic alternations of physical properties. Details of the results will be shown at the conference.

We have investigated the physical properties of LuFe
O
, which has a related structure to the electronic ferroelectric RFe
O
(R: rare earths). Magnetic measurements showed that its magnetic transition temperature was about 260-270 K. Dielectric measurements showed that dielectric constants at room temperature were about 10000. This material also showed a magneto-dielectric effect at around room temperature, a result which is interesting from the viewpoints of both fundamental and applied science.
