This paper presents status of development of the iSRE (integrated system for repository engineering) as a design supporting system that enables rational designing of a geological disposal repository. The complimentary technique of construction information modeling/management (CIM) has been employed for the development of iSRE. CIM uses a shared three dimensional (3D) model of associated data through common data models. In this paper, as a design support system that conforms to the characteristics of information management about engineering technology represented by repetition of design during the disposal project period, we examined and designed the function of the "iSRE", constructed a prototype, and confirmed the function through a trial simulating actual work in the disposal project. As a result, with respect to the functions of DB and IF of the iSRE, we got a prospect that these functions can be the foundation of information management on engineering technology, and development of the prototype of the iSRE and its test run extracted issues for practical use of such system.

For the high performance evaluation of reliability of TRU waste repository, the system development for evaluating long-term alteration in consideration of the changes action of barrier materials of hydraulic field in Near Field is required. In this research, system development for evaluating long-term alteration of hydraulic field in Near Field was examined. Examination of the basic specification of chemical/dynamic alteration action analysis system used as the composition element of this system and a whole system were performed. The research result of this year is shown below. (1)The system by which the chemical changes happened by Near Field as influence of the exudation liquid from cement material are evaluated was examined. In this year, document investigation about the various processes about chemical alteration and extraction of a choice, presentation of the uncertainty about a model or data, preliminary modeling, a simple analysis tool creation and sensitivity analysis, extraction of the process which should be taken into consideration in a system valuation modeling and a phenomenon analysis model, and a corresponding mathematics model, optimization of the software composition for development of a system valuation modeling, the exercise by the preliminary system analysis model, the experiment plan for the corroboration of a model were shown. (2)In consideration of change of the physical characteristic accompanying chemical alteration of bentonite material and cement material, the system by which the dynamic changes action of repository is evaluated was examined. In this year, arrangement of the dynamics action of repository for long-term were shown. Extraction of a phenomenon made applicable to evaluation was shown. And the dynamic models were investigated and the prototype of the dynamics model that can take into consideration the characteristic of bentonite material was shown. And the basic composition of a dynamic changes action analysis system was shown.

In medical treatment, CT scan is useful diagnostic method. On the other hand, exposure doses derived from CT scans are dependent on body sizes of patients. Therefore, consideration of body sizes is essential for accurate dose assessment of individual patients. JAEA developed the CT dose calculator, WAZA-ARIv2 under the collaboration research project with the National Institute of Radiological Sciences and the Oita University of Nursing and Health Sciences. WAZA-ARIv2 enable users to accurately calculate exposure doses of patients with sexes, ages (0y, 1y, 5y, 10y, 15y and adult) and fatness (small, large and extra-large body sizes). In the future, we will be plans to add the dose calculation functions corresponding to the scan conditions at low tube voltage and multi-detector row (more 80) CT devices to WAZA-ARIv2. We reported the system and future plans of WAZA-ARIv2 corresponding to dose calculation of patients with various body sizes.

WAZA-ARIv2 is developed as the web-based open system for CT dose calculator under joint research of JAEA, NIRS (now, QST) and Oita University of Nursing and Health Sciences. WAZA-ARIv2 can provide organ doses under consideration of the body physiques (BMI = 18, 22, 28, 37) of patients with average height of adult Japanese by using voxel phantoms developed by JAEA. In this study, we analyzed the relationship between variations of organ doses and body indices. It was found that effects of weight variations on organ doses were larger than those of height variations. Generally, thickness of the subcutaneous soft tissues is easily changed by variations of weight rather than those of height. This fact may cause the differences in variations of organ doses between weight and height.
