Preparatory Office for Hot Laboratory Operation Management in Fukushima Research Infrastructural Creation Center has advanced research and development for decommissioning of TEPCO'S Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. For this purpose, work procedure manual of chemical analysis for safety evaluation on processing, disposal and management of radioactive waste such as low dose level rubbles and fuel debris has been prepared. The manual will be used for personnel training and animation function of PowerPoint was used as the beginner of the chemical analysis to understand easily. This report describes about nuclides which were established analysis method and completed to make animation of work procedure.

It was shown from the annular core experiment of the HTTR that the discrepancy of excess reactivity between experiment and analysis reached about 3 % Dk/k at maximum. Sensitivity analysis for the annular core of the HTTR was performed to improve the discrepancy. The SRAC code system was used for the core analysis. As the results of the analysis, it was found clearly that the multiplication factor of the annular core is affected by (1) mesh interval in the core diffusion calculation, (2) mesh structure of graphite region in fuel lattice cell and (3) the Benoist's anisotropic diffusion coefficients. The significantly large discrepancy previously reported was reduced down to about 1 % Dk/k by the revised annular core model.

The anion-exchangechromatographic behavior of Rf was investigated in 1.9-13.9 M hydrofluoric acid together with those of the group-4 elements Zr and Hf produced in the O-induced reactions on Ge and Gd targets, respectively. It was found that the adsorption behavior of Rf on anion-exchange resin is quite different from those of Zr and Hf, suggesting the influence of relativistic effect on the fluoride complexation of Rf.

Characteristic X rays and three transitions associated with the EC decay of Bk have been observed, and the half-life was determined to be 4.6 min. The half-life value and the observed -ray energies and intensities can be consistently explained as a consequence of the allowed EC transition of .

We have investigated the sorption behavior of element 104 rutherfordium (Rf) on an anion exchange resin from HCl and HNO solutions. In the HCl experiments, the distribution coefficients of Rf increase with an increase of HCl concentration from 7.0 M to 11.5 M, indicating that anionic species such as [Rf(OH)Cl] or [RfCl] are formed. This sorption behavior of Rf is typical of the group-4 elements Zr and Hf, and is quite different from that of the pseudo-homologue Th. It is also noted that the distribution coefficients decrease in the order Rf, Zr, Hf at 9.0 M HCl, which is consistent with the expected order of ionic radii. On the other hand, Rf appears to behave like Zr and Hf in 8 M HNO not like Pu and Th.
