Naraha Center for Remote Control Technology Development (NARREC) was established in Japan Atomic Energy Agency to promote a decommissioning work of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Fukushima Daiichi NPS). NARREC consists of a Full-scale Mock-up Test Building and Research Management Building. Various test facilities are installed in these buildings for the decommissioning work of Fukushima Daiichi NPS. These test facilities are intended to be used for various users, such as companies engaged in the decommissioning work, research and development institutions, educational institutions and so on. The number of NARREC facility uses was 84 in FY2021. We participated booth exhibitions and presentations on the decommissioning related events. Moreover, we also contributed to the development of human resources by supporting the 6th Creative Robot Contest for Decommissioning. As a new project, "Narahakko Children's Classroom" was implemented for elementary school students in Naraha Town. This report summarizes the activities of NARREC in FY2021, such as the utilization of facilities and equipment of NARREC, the development of remote-control technologies for supporting the decommissioning work, arrangement of the remote-control machines for emergency response, and training for operators by using the machines.

Cyclotron use in FY 2012, was 2243.5 hours beam time. Among them, the use time of Bio technology and Medical application relationship most, I occupy the time spent for the Quarter of the total. Use offer to the outside utilization was 17%. Use the number of days in Electrostatic Accelerators was 490 days. Among them, Basic technology is accounted for using the percentage of 46%, but the use of irradiation Reactor materials and irradiation of Material for space even more, I accounted for 18 percent utilization rate, respectively, of 15%. Use offer to the outside utilization was 8%.

Fiscal year 2011 was significantly influenced by the East Japan Great Earthquake (March 11, 2011). The operation of the TIARA facility which was being planned from April started from the middle of May. Lost beam-time of the experiment due to the great earthquake was compensated with operations on Saturday biweekly. And it was obliged to re-examine the operation plan during the period of electric power reduction in July, August, and September. The demanded reduction rate of electric power in daytime for summer season was 15% as compared with 2010. The limited value in daytime was 3,600 kW. Therefore, the experiment in daytime was conducted with light ions (H, D with 20 MeV) only by the AVF Cyclotron. As mentioned above, the electric power in the daytime of summer did not exceed 3,200 kW. Moreover, the beam time as an ordinary year was secured.

Usage situation of TIARA facility is reported. At 2012 fiscal year, TIARA facility was operated as planned without large external factors(Large earthquake, Power reduction requests, etc.). At trends in research field between 1991-2012, challenges of medical and biotechnology is increased and the using ratio of cyclotron is highest in the research field. At the electrostatic accelerators, the using ratio of fundamental technology development has increasing significantly in these 20 years. In addition, external user number is stable 800 or so people in these four years.
