Electronic phase diagram of itinerant electron metamagnet UCoAl

We investigate the pressure dependence of the magnetoresistivity and Hall resistivity for an itinerant-electron metamagnet UCoAl. The first-order metamagnetic transition point varies as a function of hydrostatic pressure and terminates at the critical pressure 2.0 GPa. The electronic system, however, does not show criticality at this pressure but extends to higher pressures, unlike the usual quantum critical behavior.
