A database on the analyses of samples obtained from contaminated water in the circulating system of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station was built. This database contains the analyses of 25 samples of JAEA and 313 samples of TEPCO which have been published in FY 2011 to FY 2013. Also, as well as the analyses on contaminated water, the information on the stored and treated amount in accumulated water and the amount of produced waste, which has been published by TEPCO and which might be required in order to estimate the inventory of secondary waste (sludge, used vessels) generated by treatment of contaminated water are contained in this database. This technical report shows the function of this database and user manual with example and presents the FY2013 edition of database by appendix CD.

Operator's experience after introduction of random interim inspection at Tokai Reprocessing facilities

Kaku Busshitsu Kanri Gakkai (INMM) Nihon Shibu Dai-33-Kai Nenji Taikai Rombunshu (Internet), 9 Pages, 2012/10

The Integrated Safeguards (IS) applied to JNC-1 site began from August, 2008. At that time, the inspection scheme was replaced from Interim Inventory Verification (IIV) with scheduled day to Random Interim Inspection (RII) with short notice in order to strengthen deterrent against diversion of nuclear materials. To satisfy the requirements for IS in Tokai reprocessing facilities including Tokai Reprocessing Plant and Plutonium Conversion Development Facility, we have cooperated inspectorates to establish remote monitoring systems, and to introduce RII smoothly. Though the new inspection scheme requires additional efforts which contain keeping a certain number of operators every day and declaration of interim inventory lists in a short time, the whole inspection days per year during inter-campaign could be decreased to about 60% by comparing with the conventional IIV. This paper reports the effects after introduction of RII and the future tasks to be discussed regarding RII during campaign from the operator's standpoint.

Absolute calibration of imaging plate for GeV electrons

An imaging plate has been used as a useful detector of energetic electrons in laser electron acceleration and laser fusion studies. The absolute sensitivity of an imaging plate was calibrated at 1 GeV electron energy using the injector Linac of SPring-8. The sensitivity curve obtained up to 100 MeV in a previous study was extended successfully to GeV range.

Here we report the new features and improvements in our latest release of the H-Invitational Database, a comprehensive annotation resource for human genes and transcripts. H-InvDB, originally developed as an integrated database of the human transcriptome based on extensive annotation of large sets of fulllength cDNA (FLcDNA) clones, now provides annotation for 120 558 human mRNAs extracted from the International Nucleotide Sequence Databases (INSD), in addition to 54 978 human FLcDNAs, in the latest release H-InvDB. We mapped those human transcripts onto the human genome sequences (NCBI build 36.1) and determined 34 699 human gene clusters, which could define 34 057 protein-coding and 642 non-protein-coding loci; 858 transcribed loci overlapped with predicted pseudogenes.

Examination of determination to Pu amount in LASW from TRP

Makino, Risa; Tomikawa, Hirofumi; Hina, Tetsuro; Ozone, Takashi; Kurosu, Kazutoshi; Fukuhara, Junichi; Kobayashi, Kentaro; Kabuki, Toshihide*

Kaku Busshitsu Kanri Gakkai (INMM) Nihon Shibu Dai-27-Kai Nenji Taikai Rombunshu (CD-ROM), 7 Pages, 2006/00

Tokai Reprocessing Center has developed method of determination of Pu contained in low activity solid wastes (LASWs), to make better accountancy control. Our final goal is to estimate of Pu amounts in wastes generated in TRP. Some of small size wastes (carton-boxes) and drums from TRP was measured by some kind of non-destructive assay system. It was found that high dose wastes have slight amounts of Pu. However, because some of wastes from TRP have Cm, the wastes could not be measured exactly. Near future, JAEA will try upgrading or development of NDA system, and determination of Pu amount of wastes from TRP.
