J-PARC is a large scale facility of the proton accelerators for the multi-purpose of scientific researches in Japan. This facility consists of three accelerators and three experimental stations. Now, J-PARC is under construction, and LINAC is operated for one year, 3GeV synchrotron has just started the commissioning in this October the 1st. The completion of this facility will be next summer. The control system of accelerators established fundamental performance for the initial commissioning. The most important requirement to the control system of this facility is to minimize the activation of accelerator devices. In this paper, we show that the performances of each layer of this control system have been achieved in the initial stage.

The thermomagnetic curve shows two significant magnetization slumps at 540K and 680K. High-temperature neutron diffraction experiment and Rietveld analyses indicate that temperature rise from 523 to 573K makes the magnetic moments turn to the c-axis from a direction parallel to the c-plane most significantly. The change in average orientation of the magnetic moments must be induced by the disappearence of the contribution of cobalt to magnetism in this temperature.

In the pulsed neutron source of the Material and Life Science Facility (MLF) at J-PARC, we are planning and partially beginning the construction of the near backscattering Si crystal analyzer spectrometer DNA. This is the spectrometer to cover the area of the micro-eV energy range in the several spectrometers which are in the construction or planned the construction in MLF.

We have started the commissioning of the neutron scattering experiment instruments since May 2008 in MLF, J-PARC. Simultaneously, we have started the commissioning of the data acquisition and analysis software. Experimental users operate this software through the software framework which we have developed. The software framework was developed based on Python which is an object oriented script language. The system implemented with the software framework can seamlessly measure, analyze and visualize with some modules which are experimental control and data analysis. In this presentation, we report the process of the construction and the current status of the software.

We are planning and partially beginning the construction of the near backscattering Si crystal analyzer spectrometer DNA at the Material and Life Science Facility (MLF), J-PARC. The optical specification of DNA is as follows. In the center of the vacuum chamber, a sample position is located at 42 m away form the coupled moderator. The analyzer banks of Si(111) and Si(311) single crystal wafers which are pasted on the spherical surface, are mounted at the right and left side each in the vacuum chamber. The Bragg angle of those analyzer crystals are about 87.5 deg and the distance between the sample position and the analyzer crystal is about 2.3 m. The analyzed neutron beams are detected by the Hee gas position sensitive detector located at around the sample position. Then the expected energy resolution and the dynamic range of the Si(111) crystal analyzer are about 1 micro-eV and 40 micro-eV, respectively. We will report the optical principle and specification of DNA spectrometer.

We have developed the software framework in MLF computing environment from 2006 to 2008. The software framework is the fundamental software for neutron and muon experimental instruments in J-PARC/MLF. Currently, the software framework is installed at 4D Space Access Neutron Spectrometer (BL01), IBARAKI Biological Crystal Diffractometer (BL03), Cold-Neutron Disk-Chopper Spectrometer (BL14), Engineering Materials Diffractometer (BL19) and High Intensity Total Diffractometer (BL21). The features of experimental control, analysis, visualization and authorization are already implemented in the software framework. In this year, we will start the development to introduce the feature of database. We will present the current status and future plan of the software framework.

A Si-crystal analyzer backscattering spectrometer DNA is planned to be installed at the pulsed neutron source of the Material and Life Science Facility (MLF), J-PARC, and the construction has partially begun in the summer of 2010. The field of expected scientific research on the DNA spectrometer is very wide including the soft matter dynamics, the bio-molecular dynamics, the chemical molecular dynamics, the characterizations of the functional materials and the spin dynamics in the magnetism.
