Seven years passed since Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Station accident which was caused large amount of radionuclide release to the sea. Elucidation of behavior mechanism of radiocesium in the seabed is required for restarting fishing industry. We developed radiation detection system using the unmanned surface vehicle for in-situ measurement of radiocesium concentration in seabed sediment. This system is able to automatically navigate to measurement point and obtain the radiation data on the bottom sediment. The detector was calibrated by comparing the actual sediment samples. The periodical measurement off-shore the Fukushima Prefecture was performed using developed this system. As these results, distribution of radiocesium concentration was changed due to oceanographic condition. However, radiocesium inventory was tendency to decrease according to radiocesium half-life in measurement area. This system is effective for elucidation of behavior mechanism of radiocesium because it can easily measure the radiocesium concentration in the bottom sediment.

The plant control performance of the IHX helium flow rate control system, the PPWC helium flow rate control system, the secondary helium flow rate control system, the inlet temperature control system, the reactor power control system and the outlet temperature control system of the HTTR are obtained through function tests and power-up tests. As the test results, the control systems show stable control response under transient condition. Both of inlet temperature control system and reactor power control system shows stable operation from 30% to 100%, respectively. This report describes the outline of control systems and test results.

We compiled the magnetotelluric (MT) and geomagnetic transfer function (GDS) data which were acquired by Uchida (2004), Umeda et al. (2008), Asamori et al. (2011), Uyeshima (private comm.) and Ogawa (private comm). The 118 observation sites locate in the study area. Both MT and GDS frequency response was used to model three-dimensional resistivity distribution of the southern Tohoku district, NE Japan. The resultant resistivity model reveals no conductor beneath the onshore forearc in Fukushima prefecture. The model rather shows resistor there with over several-thousand ohm-m, which corresponds to the Abukuma batholiths. Thus, our model indicates that the area only around Iwaki-city is peculiar forearc, where fluid migrates upward from deep crust.
