HPC Technology Promotion Office, Center for Computational Science and e-systems (CCSE) of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) is responsible for the administration of computer programs (CPs) and databases (DBs) developed in JAEA to disseminate R&D results in JAEA to the outside and improve R&D efficiency. The information of these CPs and DBs can be found using Program and Database retrieval System (PRODAS) (https://prodas.jaea.go.jp), which is developed by our team. Those in Japan can also obtain CPs and DBs in the nuclear field possessed in OECD NEA Data Bank (NEADB), Radiation Safety Information Computational Center (RSICC) in the United States, and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In this paper, the recent situation of possession and dispatch of CPs and DBs developed within JAEA and the frameworks to obtain and provide CPs and DBs in nuclear field worldwide are presented.

IH-DTL will accelerate muons from 0.34 MeV to 4.5 MeV at a drive frequency of 324 MHz. Since IH-DTL adopts an APF method, with which the beam is focused in the transverse direction using the rf field only, the proper beam matching of the phase-space distribution is required before the injection into the IH-DTL. Thus, an IH-DTL prototype was fabricated to evaluate the performance of the cavity and beam transmission. As a preparation of the high-power test, tuners and coupler are designed and fabricated. In this paper, the development of the tuner and the coupler and the result of the low-power measurement will be presented.

e
, Mu
) has unique features stimulating potential interesting for several scientific fields. Since its discovery in late 1980's in vacuum, it has been discussed that the production efficiency would be improved using a low-work function material. C12A7 was a well-known insulator as a constituent of alumina cement, but was recently confirmed to exhibit electric conductivity by electron doping. The C12A7 electride has relatively low-work function (2.9 eV). In this paper, the negative muonium production measurement with several materials including a C12A7 electride film will be presented. Measured production rate of the Mu
were 10
/s for all the Al, electride, and SUS target. Significant enhancement on electride target was not observed, thus it is presumed that the surface condition should be more carefully treated. There was no material dependence of the Mu
averaged energy: it was 0.2
0.1keV.

source driven by an ultraviolet light has been developed for the muon acceleration experiment. Prior to the acceleration experiment, a beamline commissioning was performed using this H
beam, since the accelerated muon intensity is very low. We successfully measured the magnetic rigidity, which is essential for identifying the accelerated muons. This H
source is capable of utilizing as a general-purpose beam source for other beamline.

We have developed an Interdigital H-mode (IH) Drift-Tube Linac (DTL) design with an alternative phase focusing (APF) scheme for a muon linac, in order to measure the anomalous magnetic moment and electric dipole moment (EDM) of muons at the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC). The IH-DTL accelerates muons from beta 0.08 to 0.28 at an operational frequency of 324 MHz. The output beam emittances are calculated as 0.315 and 0.195
mm mrad in the horizontal and vertical directions, respectively, which satisfies the experimental requirement.

Negative muonium atoms (Mu), which are bound states of positive muons and two electrons, are generated from through the electron capture process in an aluminum degrader. The generated Mu
's are initially electrostatically accelerated and injected into a radio-frequency quadrupole linac (RFQ). In the RFQ, the Mu
's are accelerated to 89 keV. The accelerated Mu
's are identified by momentum measurement and time of flight. This compact muon linac opens the door to various muon accelerator applications including particle physics measurements and the construction of a transmission muon microscope.

Information-Technology Based Laboratory (ITBL) project has been propelled as one of e-Japan priority policy programs. The purposes of the project are to share intellectual resources such as remote computers, programs and data in universities and institutes and to support cooperative studies among researchers, building a virtual research environment, ITBL. Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI) has been working on installation and management of hardware and development of infrastructure software and applications. As application software, researches on quantum bioinformatics and environmental sciences are carried out. This paper presents utilization of ITBL system infra-structure software for 'Numerical Environment System' which is developed for environmental studies. More effective job executions and visualization are ex-pected by using Task Mapping Editor (TME) and AVS/ITBL, which are tools developed as infrastructure software.

Recently, for the first time a hydrate clathrate was discovered with hydrogen. Aside from the great technological promise that is inherent in storing hydorogen at high density at modest pressures, there is great scientefic interest as this would constitute the first hydrate clathrate with multiple guest molecules per cage. The multiple cage occupancy is controversial, and reproducibility of the experiments has been questioned. Therefore in this study we try to illucidate the remarkable stability of the hydrogen hydrate clathrate, and determine the thermodynamically most favored cage occpancy using highly accrate computer simulations in a parameter survey. To carry out these extraordinary demanding computations a distributed
code has been developed using the SuperSINET with the ITBL software as the top-layer.

Prototype of the middleware for Grid project promoted by national institutes in Japan has been developed. Key technologies that are indispensable for construction of virtual organization were already implemented onto the prototype of middleware and examined in practical computer/network system from a view point of availability. In addition several kinds of scientific applications are being executed on the prototype system. It seems that successful result in the implementation of those technologies such as security infrastructure, component programming and collaborative visualization in practical computer/network systems means significant progress in Science Grid in Japan.

SCore system has been developed to provide flat computing infrastructure for parallel computing without awareness of each compute host in a PC cluster system. An SCore cluster system can be handled as a single computer. MPICH-SCore, which is an MPI library in SCore, is not available across multiple SCore cluster systems as well as multiple platforms. We have implemented an MPI communication library, Stampi in SCore cluster system to enable MPI communication between SCore cluster systems and measured communication performance of the library using SCore cluster systems.
