For the J-PARC synchrotrons, tomography, which can take into account the beam dynamics such as longitudinal space charge effect and nonlinearity, is desired, as the beam power increases. In this study, for the J-PARC synchrotron, the CERN's tomography, which employs the hybrid algorithm that can consider the beam dynamics for reconstruction, is introduced and benchmarked. The benchmark results show that the CERN's tomography has the ability to measure the longitudinal phase space distribution accurately, in the high-power beam operation at the J-PARC synchrotrons.

Especially when one of the players contains a plural number of 4f electrons, the orbital degrees of freedom play a major role as a new type of nonmagnetic and/or weak-magnetic phenomena. Several examples found in Pr- and Sm-based filled skutterudites are introduced in relation to muon spin relaxation experiments.

A set of six multi-wire profile monitors (MWPMs) has been installed in the injection area of the RCS (Rapid-Cycling Synchrotron), and contributed to the initial commissioning for establishing an optimum injection orbit. The Au coated W wires (0.1 mm dia.) for the H beam are fixed to a ceramic wind frame for two directions (horizontal and vertical with 17.7 deg. tilt, typically 51 wires with 2.9 mm or 9.5 mm distance), and the frame can be scanned for horizontal or vertical direction by using a stepping-motor driven actuator. A combination of the 17.7 deg. tilt wires and the precise scan function provides two step measurements, i.e. a rough profile is obtained only at one shot, and a detailed profile is measured for typically 101 shots (10 mm scan at 0.1 mm interval) thereafter. The beam induced charge signals are amplified, integrated and held by using a signal processing circuit. The signals are sequentially retrieved through multiplexers and digitized for obtaining a beam profile.

The J-PARC RCS has been beam commissioned since fall 2007. During such a short period, the following items have been established. Establishment of the injection orbit, beam circulation, acceleration up to 3GeV, optics parameters measurements and it achieved 50 kW beam power (410
ppb). The beam monitor system has an important role for smooth beam commissioning. This paper describes the status of the beam monitor system, BPM, Injection monitors, IPM, current monitor, tune meter and BLM of the RCS.

O
, which exhibits a metal-insulator transition. It reveals strong spin fluctuation below the MI transition, suggesting a predominant role of geometrical spin frustration. Meanwhile, an incommensurate spin density wave discontinuously develops at lower temperature. These observations strongly suggest the occurrence of an anomalous magnetic transition and associated change in the local spin dynamics in undistorted pyrochlore antiferromagnet.

PrRuP
shows a metal-insulator (MI) transition at
62 K accompanied by a structural phase transition. Because LaRu
P
without
electrons does not shows the MI transition,
electrons in the Pr atom plays an important role in the transition. In order to elucidate a modulation of electronic states of Pr, we have carried out a resonant X-ray scattering study of PrRu
P
at Pr
- and
-edges. Below
, resonant signal at the absorption main-edge was successfully observed at the superlattice reflections of the modulation vector
in addition to the energy-independent component from the lattice distortion. Because the reflection contains the difference of anomalous scattering factors between two Pr atoms in the unit cell, two different electronic states are actually ordered below
. Furthermore we found that the polarization of X-ray is mostly unrotated even at the resonance, which indicates that the resonant scattering in PrRu
P
is almost isotropic.

We report on the Magnetism, magnetic penetration depth and the Knight shift in polycrystalline sample of CePtSi by means of muon spin rotation and relaxation method. The appearance of the internal field under the zero magnetic field in whole volume of the specimen, was observed, which indicating clear evidence of antiferromagnetism. The muon Knight shift was measured down to 20mK at 17kOe. Three different frequencies are seen in the muon spin rotation spectra, which depend on the temperature. The symmetry of the superconducting Cooper pair will be discussed.
