The dissolution rate of high Pu content MOX fuel into the nitric acid was measured as a function of Pu content. MOX fuel sample which was pressed and sintered, were dissolved in boiling 7M nitric acid, and dissolution rate was measured by analysis of the Pu and U concentration in the solution. Dissolution rate of MOX fuel had the following tendencies : it decreased with increase of the Pu content and was reduced after 6 hours dissolution. These results agreed well to previous one, but dissolution rate was 3-6 times larger than that. It is estimated that the cause of this difference was due to the underestimate of surface area of MOX fuel powder and the difference of MOX O/M ratio.

In order to acquire the data on fission product chemical behavior during transport in a reactor for the improvement of source term evaluation method, we performed the chemical reaction tests of cesium (Cs) and iodine (I) deposits and boron oxide (BO) vapor/aerosol using the apparatus which can simulate temperature conditions of reactor coolant system under a sever accident. The volatile I compounds were formed by the reaction of BO vapor/aerosol and deposit, and significant amount of I was revaporized from the deposit.

As a material simulating FP, CsI was heated and evaporated to be decomposited on the surface of a tube having a temperature gradient. Gaseous BO made by heating it at higher temperature was react with CsI decomposited on the surface, and then the boron effects for decomposition and migration behavior of Cs and I were observed. Consequently, it was indicated that boron vapor could strip decomposited CsI to make it gaseous species again and then the guseous CsI could move to the colder position.
