-XRF). The results identified two forms of cesium: one dissolved in glass and the other enriched on the surfaces of internal voids. The latter is considered to have originally existed as a gas and became concentrated during the cooling and solidification of the molten glass. These findings are crucial for understanding the formation process of CsMPs during the accident, as well as for future decommissioning and safety assessments.

Magnetised zeolite A, zeolite X and Na,K-CHA composites with superparamagnetic nanoparticles of SiO
-coated Fe
O
or CoFe
O
ferrite spinels were prepared, characterised and tested for ion exchange efficacy. They were synthesised by following three steps, synthesising Fe
O
and CoFe
O
nanoparticles by a solvothermal method, coating the metal oxide particles with SiO
by a sol-gel process, and attaching the M
O
/SiO
onto the zeolites during synthesis. The magnetic zeolites were characterised by X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry and both scanning and transmission electron microscopy. It was confirmed they had superparamagnetic properties due to successful attachment of the M
O
/SiO
particles onto the zeolites. Adsorption capacities of Sr
onto the magnetic zeolite A and zeolite X and Cs
onto the magnetic Na,K-CHA were also evaluated. The results show the M
O
/SiO
did not block the adsorption sites of the zeolites and the M
O
/SiO
particles were not detached from the zeolites during the adsorption experiments.

The magnetic excitation extends at least from 0.3 to 140 meV. The integrated inelastic scattering intensity leads to a localized magnetic moment of about 5
per Mn site fluctuating at 200 K in the wide energy range, although the long-range ordered magnetic moment is only 2.61
at 4 K. The result suggests that a large part of the magnetic moment does not order in Mn
RhSi.
