MIRS is built at LESIA-Paris Observatory in collaboration with four other French laboratories, collaboration and financial support of CNES and close collaboration with JAXA and MELCO. The instrument is designed to fully accomplish MMX's scientific and measurement objectives. MIRS will remotely provide near-infrared spectral maps of Phobos and Deimos containing compositional diagnostic spectral features that will be used to analyze the surface composition and to support the sampling site selection. MIRS will also study Mars atmosphere, in particular to spatial and temporal changes such as clouds, dust and water vapor.

Such exotic sandy and muddy layers have been identified by multiple approaches. However, there still remain uncertainties and other useful proxies need to be investigated for the identification of tsunami deposits. Here we show the geochemical signatures of modern tsunami deposits from the Pacific coast of Northeast Japan (2011 Tohoku tsunami), as well as those paleo tsunami deposits, which were taken from the Tohoku District (Jogan, ca. 1080 calibrated ages before present [cal BP] and Yayoi, ca. 2000 cal BP). A geochemical ternary diagram (Seawater-Rock-(As+Metals)) enables the weathering trend of tsunami deposits over ca. 2000 years in the Sendai Plain in the Tohoku to be shown. In the paleo tsunami layers from the Tohoku, the Na/Ti atomic ratios markedly increased to 23.4, and the average values were 19.3
3.0 (Jogan and Yayoi tsunami deposits), which were clearly higher than those of other layers (soil deposits, 10.3
3.5 on average). These results show that the Na/Ti ratio is a useful indicator of marine incursions in our case. Our rapid and simple method using the Na/Ti ratio can be easily applied to the Tohoku, and it may contribute to the detection of unrecorded muddy tsunami deposits.

The big tsunami wave caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake triggered station black out of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The schedule until ending of the decommission is shown in the guidance from Japanese government. But the dose rate in the reactor vessel is quite high and it is not possible to specify the position of melted fuel debris by visual inspection. That is one of the most important issues in this process. This report describes the development of Self Powered Gamma Detector (SPGD) for the purpose to specify the position of melted fuel debris and situation in the reactor by measuring
rate in the reactor of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The
irradiation examinations by changing the parameter of emitters figure were performed and the dependency of SPGD output on emitter shape was summarized.

Due to plasma pulse operation, the MLI is affected by eddy current in toroidal direction. The MLI is designed to suppress the current by electrically insulating every 20 degree in the toroidal direction by covering the MLI with polyimide films. In this paper, two kinds of designs for insulated MLI are proposed focusing on a way to overlap MLI. A boil-off calorimeter method and temperature measurement has been performed to determine the thermal performance of MLI. The design of electrical insulated thermal anchor between the toroidal field (TF) coil and the thermal shield is also explained.

and vortex dynamics have been systematically studied. It is found that
is enhanced and vortex dynamics is strongly suppressed by energetic particles having a sufficient energy deposition rate, similar to the case of high temperature cuprate superconductors. The enhancement of
, in general, persists up to much higher irradiation doses than in cuprates. However, details of the effect of irradiation depend on the kind of ion species and their energies. Even with the same ions and energies, the effect is not universal for different kinds of iron-based superconductors. The correlated nature of defects created by heavy-ion irradiation is confirmed by the angular dependence of irreversible magnetization.

Si semiconductor production by Neutron Transmutation Doping (NTD) method using the Japan Materials Testing Reactor (JMTR) has been investigated in Neutron Irradiation and Testing Reactor Center, Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) in order to expand industry use. As a part of investigations, irradiation test of silicon ingot for development of NTD-Si with high quality was planned using WWR-K in Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP), National Nuclear Center of Republic of Kazakhstan (NNC-RK) based on one of specific topics of cooperation (STC), Irradiation Technology for NTD-Si (STC No.II-4), on the implementing arrangement between NNC-RK and the JAEA for "Nuclear Technology on Testing/Research Reactors" in cooperation in research and development in nuclear energy and technology. As for the irradiation test, Si rotating device was fabricated in JAEA, and the fabricated device was transported with irradiation specimens from JAEA to INP-NNC-RK. This report described the design, the fabrication, the performance test of the Si rotating device and transportation procedures.

single crystals with different heavy ion irradiations. The formation of columnar defects by 200 MeV Au ion irradiation is confirmed by transmission electron microscopy and their density is about 40% of the irradiation dose. Magneto-optical imaging and bulk magnetization measurements reveal that the critical current density
is enhanced in the 200 MeV Au and 800 MeV Xe ion irradiated samples while
is unchanged in the 200 MeV Ni ion irradiated sample. We also find that vortex creep rates are strongly suppressed by the columnar defects. We compare the effect of heavy-ion irradiation into Co-doped BaFe

Future synchrotron light source using a 5-GeV energy recovery linac (ERL) is under proposal by our Japanese collaboration team, and we are conducting R&D efforts for that. We are developing high-brightness DC photocathode guns, two types of cryomodules for both injector and main superconducting (SC) linacs, and 1.3 GHz high CW-power RF sources. We are also constructing the Compact ERL (cERL) for demonstrating the recirculation of low-emittance, high-current beams using above-mentioned critical technologies.

The plasma stored energy can be detected with high accuracy in real-time by the function parametrization method for various plasmas available in JT-60U, such as the ohmic plasma, the L-mode, the H-mode, the high poloidal beta mode and the reversed shear mode over a wide range of the plasma parameters. By manipulating the neutral beam injection power, the plasma stored energy has been successfully controlled along the preprogrammed reference waveform. Especially in the reversed shear mode, this feedback control scheme has improved the reproducibility of the formation of the internal transport barrier, and the MHD instability could be suppressed with keeping the normalized beta in the stable region. The D-T equivalent fusion amplification gain of 0.5 was sustained for 0.8 s in a reversed shear plasma by employing this feedback control scheme.
