Topological superconductors (TSC) are notable materials, owing to the mathematical curiosity and the application potential. The bulk TSC can emerge by copper intercalation into topological insulator BiSE
. In this paper, we theoretically study the non-magnetic impurity effects in the mean-field model of Cu

, focusing on the odd-parity fully-gapped superconducting state. Calculating the density of states with a self-consistent
-matrix approach, we test the presence of mid-gap states, leading to pair-breaking effects. Remarkably, the sensitivity to non-magnetic impurities strongly depend on a normal-state dispersion character, i.e., either non-relativistic or relativistic dispersion relations. We show unification picture for understanding this intriguing result, deriving a low-energy effective superconducting theory.

Fluctuations significantly alter the conventional picture on transport phenomena in 1D superconductors. We study the current-dependence of the kinetic inductance in superconducting wires using the Ginzuburg-Landau approach with fluctuations. We obtain a non-monotonic current-dependence of the kinetic inductance when the thermal fluctuations predominate the behaviors of the superconducting phase. This result is ascribed to the occurrence of phase-slip centers from thermally-activated processes. We also find that our approach qualitatively reproduces the experiment by Annunziata et al. Moreover, we discuss the effects of thermal fluctuations on the characteristics of superconducting detectors. We will also discuss the effects of quantum phase slips on superconducting detectors.
