The control system of J-PARC project is under construction. After almost finishing the hardware installation of the L3BT section, an online device commissioning was performed for magnet power supply, stepping motor and vacuum system. Many components for device control have already been developed separately, but not integrated together yet. It is the first experience to combine all the components, including core software for a front-end IO controller, an EPICS run-time database, and a remote graphic user interface. This paper describes the detail of the recent construction status of the L3BT control system, including component development, system integration, and device commissioning.

3 GeV Rapid Cycling Synchrotron and 50 GeV Main Ring Synchrotron in J-PARC, which is under construction, are expected to accelerate high power proton beam of 1 MW and 0.75 MW class, respectively. To measure such a high intensity beam profile, we have been developing Residual Gas Ionization Profile Monitors (IPMs). To confirm the reliability of this type monitors, we constructed a prototype and installed in Main Ring of Proton Synchrotron at KEK and tested using proton beams for two different operation modes, that is ion and electron collection mode using magnetic guiding field. The obtained data are used to discuss the detection reliability of the real ones.

In the J-PARC Linac, the DTL and the SDTL have been installed. A precise alignment of accelerator components is essential for high quality beam acceleration. Due to the heavy wiring for DTQs, the realignment of DTL cavity requires a long term. Then the DTL/SDTL and the focusing magnets are aligned precisely enough for the beam operation at the installation. The DTL/SDTL alignment accuracy satisfied the requirement, which confirmed by the laser tracker measurement. The floor level of the accelerator tunnel has been measured periodically. The long term motion of accelerator tunnel is quantitatively evaluated since Feb. 2005.

In J-PARC LINAC section, several types of beam position monitors (BPMs) from 37.7 mm to 120 mm in diameter are allocated. In this paper, background of design and key points for a larger diameter (180 mm) of BPM are reported.

This paper reports Personnel Interlock System, Machine Protection System, and other Interlock System in J-PARC LINAC. The noise measures is important in MPS, we describe the noise decreasing method. The number of accelerating particles in J-PARC LINAC that can be accelerated has been deciding by ministry's guideline. Therefore, it is necessary to do severe surveillance. Here we also explain this particle monitoring instrument.

JAEA and KEK have started acceleration of radioactive nuclear beam (RNB) and stable ion beam (SNB) from TRIAC. RNB and SNB are accelerated by SCRFQ and IH linac up to the energy of 1.1MeV/u. We were planning to re-accelerate the beams in the future by superconducting booster up to an energy of 58MeV/u. In order to inject the beams into superconducting booster, we need a pre-booster which is capable of acceleration from 1.1MeV/u to 2.0MeV/u. We have started development of superconducting twin quarter wave resonator (twin-QWR) in FY2004, and have fabricated a prototype twin-QWR in FY2005.

The central region of the JAEA AVF cyclotron has been modified to solve the problem of the beam instability caused by the electric discharge between the dee electrode and the RF shielding cover attached to the inflector electrode and to control a beam phase width for microbeam production. The beam stability has been improved by separating the inflector electrode and its RF shielding cover. The beam phase width, controlled with phase slits, has been 4.5 rf degrees FW for acceleration harmonic mode 1 (H=1) and 3.6 rf degrees FW for H=2 to fulfil the requirement for the microbeam production.
