(FGT) holds a great potential for applications in spintronic devices, due to its high Curie temperature, easy tunability, and excellent structural stability in air. In this study, we have performed high-pressure neutron powder diffraction (NPD) up to 5 GPa, to investigate the evolution of its structural and magnetic properties with hydrostatic pressure. The NPD data clearly reveal the robustness of the ferromagnetism in FGT, despite of an apparent suppression by hydrostatic pressure. As the pressure increases from 0 to 5 GPa, the Curie temperature is found to decrease monotonically from 225(5) K to 175(5) K, together with a dramatically suppressed ordered moment of Fe, which is well supported by the first-principles calculations. Although no pressure-driven structural phase transition is observed up to 5 GPa, quantitative analysis on the changes of bond lengths and bond angles indicate a significant modification of the exchange interactions, which accounts for the pressure-induced suppression of the ferromagnetism in FGT.

We derived an analytic expression for evaluating the transient rotational dynamics of diatomic molecules in an optical frequency comb which is tuned to induce a series of pure rotational transitions. The formulation is based on the quantum delta-kicked rotor model, and the orthogonality of delta functions at different time is assumed. The formulation is performed with the matrix decomposition technique. We derived the probability amplitude composed of term corresponding to a Bessel function of the first kind and other oscillating terms. The time dependence of obtained transition probability is shown as a staircase function.

In the tuning of DTL2 and DTL3, the phase scan curves show a remarkable agreement with the numerical model. In the DTL1 tuning, however, the phase scan curves show a notable discrepancy from the numerical model especially with the RF set-points far from its design value. A three-dimensional particle simulation has been conducted with IMPACT, and the generation of the low energy component and the severe filamentation are identified as the main sources of the observed discrepancy. To circumvent this difficulty, we have adopted two phase scan curves as the reference restricting the parameter range for the phase scan. The reference curves and scanning phase range are carefully determined to avoid the influence from the filamentation. The tuning goal of 1
in phase and 1% in amplitude is satisfied for DTL1 with the two-reference scheme.

High-spin states in
Re are investigated via in-beam
-ray spectroscopic method and
coincidence relationships are analysed. A new band is identified due to its spectroscopic connection with the known
band. This band is proposed to be the ground-state band built on the
configuration in view of the low-lying intrinsic states in neighbouring odd-mass nuclei. It is in particular interesting that the new band exhibits a phenomenon of low-spin signature inversion, providing a new situation for theoretical investigations.

A code has been developed for calculating the non-coronal radiation of impurity in a compound plasma system which consists of high and low temperature regions. The radiation loss of impurity carbon in this system is calculated and analyzed. The cooling rate in this system is smaller than that in a homogeneous plasma system due to the particle exchange between the two regions of the system. The volumetric radiation is much bigger in the low temperature region than in the high temperature region because of the relatively low temperature and high electron density, despite the much smaller volume.
