Using a data sample of 980 fb$$^{-1}$$ collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $$e^+e^-$$ collider, we study for the first time the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays $$Omega^0_ctoXi^{-}pi^{+}$$ and $$Omega^-K^+$$ and the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $$Omega^0_cto Xi^- K^{+}$$. Evidence for an $$Omega^0_c$$ signal in the $$Omega^0_ctoXi^-pi^+$$ mode is reported with a significance of $$4.5sigma$$ including systematic uncertainties. The ratio of branching fractions to the normalization mode $$Omega_c^0to Omega^-pi^+$$ is measured to be $${cal B}(Omega_{c}^{0} to Xi^{-} pi ^{+} )/{cal B}(Omega_c^0to Omega^-pi^+)=0.253pm 0.053({rm stat.})pm 0.030({rm syst.}).$$ No significant signals of $$Omega^0_ctoXi^-K^+$$ and $$Omega^-K^+$$ modes are found. The upper limits at $$90%$$ confidence level on ratios of branching fractions are determined to be $${cal B}(Omega_{c}^{0} to Xi^{-} K ^{+})/{cal B}(Omega_c^0to Omega^-pi^+) < 0.070$$ and $${cal B}(Omega_{c}^{0} to Omega^{-}K^{+})/{cal B}(Omega_c^0to Omega^-pi^+) < 0.29.$$

The contribution of the CP violating three-gluon Weinberg operator to the atomic and nuclear EDMs is estimated using QCD sum rules. After calculating the transition matrix element between the pion and the vacuum through the Weinberg operator, we obtain the long-range CP-odd nuclear force by determining the isovector CP-odd pion-nucleon vertex, using chiral perturbation theory at NLO. The EDMs of $$^{199}$$Hg, $$^{129}$$Xe, and $$^{225}$$Ra atoms, as well as those of $$^{2}$$H and $$^{3}$$He nuclei are finally given including comprehensive uncertainty analysis. While the leading contribution of the $$^{199}$$Hg EDM is given by the intrinsic nucleon EDM, that of $$^{129}$$Xe atom may be dominated by the one-pion exchange CP-odd nuclear force generated by the Weinberg operator. From current experimental data of the $$^{199}$$Hg atomic EDM, we obtain an upper limit on the Weinberg operator magnitude of $$|omega| < 4times10^{-10}mathrm{GeV}^{-2}$$ if we assume that it is the only source of CP violation at the scale $$mu$$ = 1 TeV.

We present a search for the charged lepton-flavor-violating decays $$Upsilon(1S)rightarrowellell^prime$$ and radiative charged lepton-flavour-violating decays $$Upsilon(1S)rightarrowgammaellell^prime$$ [$$ell, ell^prime = e, mu, tau$$] using the 158 million $$Upsilon(2S)$$ sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB collider. This search uses $$Upsilon(1S)$$ mesons produced in $$pi^+pi^-Upsilon(1S)$$ transitions. We do not find any significant signal, so we provide upper limits on the branching fractions at the 90% confidence level.

We report a measurement of the electric dipole moment of the $$tau$$ lepton ($$d_tau$$) using an 833~fb$$^{-1}$$ data sample collected near the $$Upsilon(4S)$$ resonance, with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $$e^+ e^-$$ collider. Using an optimal observable method, we obtain the real and imaginary parts of $$d_tau$$ as $${rm Re}(d_tau) = (-0.62 pm 0.63) times 10^{-17} ~e{rm cm}$$ and $${rm Im}(d_tau) = (-0.40 pm 0.32) times 10^{-17} ~e{rm cm}$$, respectively. These results are consistent with null electric dipole moment at the present level of experimental sensitivity and improve the sensitivity by about a factor of three.

We present the first measurement of the branching fraction of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed (SCS) decay $$Lambda_c^+ to p eta'$$ with $$eta' to etapi^+pi^-$$, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 981 $$rm fb^{-1}$$, collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB $$e^{+}$$$$e^{-}$$ asymmetric-energy collider. A significant $$Lambda_c^+$$ signal is observed for the first time with a signal significance of 5.4$$sigma$$. The relative branching fraction with respect to the normalization mode $$Lambda_c^+ to pK^-pi^+$$ is measured to be $$frac{{cal B}(Lambda_c^+ to p eta')}{{cal B}(Lambda_c^+ to p K^-pi^+)} = (7.54 pm 1.32 pm 0.75) times 10^{-3}$$,where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. Using the world-average value of $${cal B}(Lambda_c^+ to p K^-pi^+) = (6.28pm0.32)times10^{-2}$$, we obtain $${cal B}(Lambda_c^+ to p eta') = (4.73 pm 0.82 pm 0.47 pm 0.24)times 10^{-4}$$,where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and from $${cal B}(Lambda_c^+ to pK^-pi^+)$$, respectively.

We present a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity triangle angle $$ phi_{3} $$ (also known as~$$gamma$$) using a model-independent Dalitz plot analysis of $$B^+to Dleft(K_{S}^{0}h^{+}h^{-}right)h^+$$, where $$D$$ is either a $$D^0$$ or $$bar{D}{}^0$$ meson and $$h$$ is either a $$pi$$ or $$K$$. This is the first measurement that simultaneously uses Belle and Belle~II data, combining samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of 711 fb$$^{-1}$$ and 128 fb$$^{-1}$$, respectively. All data were accumulated from energy-asymmetric $$e^+e^-$$ collisions at a centre-of-mass energy corresponding to the mass of the $$Upsilon(4S)$$ resonance. We measure $$phi_3 = left(78.4 pm 11.4 pm 0.5 pm 1.0 right)^{circ}$$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third is from the uncertainties on external measurements of the $$D$$-decay strong-phase parameters.

Charged lepton flavor violation is forbidden in the Standard Model but possible in several new physics scenarios. In many of these models, the radiative decays $$tau^{pm}rightarrowell^{pm}gamma$$ ($$ell=e,mu$$) are predicted to have a sizeable probability, making them particularly interesting channels to search at various experiments. An updated search via $$tau^{pm}rightarrowell^{pm}gamma$$ using full data of the Belle experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 988 fb$$^{-1}$$, is reported for charged lepton flavor violation. No significant excess over background predictions from the Standard Model is observed, and the upper limits on the branching fractions, $$mathcal{B}(tau^{pm}rightarrow mu^{pm}gamma)$$ $$leq$$ $$4.2times10^{-8}$$ and $$mathcal{B}(tau^{pm}rightarrow e^{pm}gamma)$$ $$leq$$ $$5.6times10^{-8}$$, are set at 90% confidence level.

We measure the branching fractions and $$CP$$ asymmetries for the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays $$D^{0}topi^{+}pi^{-}eta$$, $$D^{0}to K^{+}K^{-}eta$$, and $$D^{0}tophieta$$, using 980 fb$$^{-1}$$ of data from the Belle experiment at the KEKB $$e^+e^-$$ collider. We obtain $$mathcal{B}(D^{0}topi^{+}pi^{-}eta) = [1.22pm 0.02,({rm stat})pm 0.02,({rm syst})pm 0.03,(mathcal{B}_{rm ref})]times 10^{-3},, mathcal{B}(D^{0}to K^{+}K^{-}eta) = [1.80,^{+0.07}_{-0.06},({rm stat})pm 0.04,({rm syst})pm 0.05,(mathcal{B}_{rm ref})]times 10^{-4},, mathcal{B}(D^{0}tophieta) = [1.84pm 0.09,({rm stat})pm 0.06,({rm syst})pm 0.05,(mathcal{B}_{rm ref})]times 10^{-4},, $$ where the third uncertainty ($$mathcal{B}_{rm ref}$$) is from the uncertainty in the branching fraction of the reference mode $$D^{0} to K^{-}pi^{+}eta$$. The color-suppressed decay $$D^{0}tophieta$$ is observed for the first time, with very high significance. The results for the $$CP$$ asymmetries are $$A_{CP}(D^{0}topi^{+}pi^{-}eta) = [0.9pm 1.2,({rm stat})pm 0.5,({rm syst})]%,, A_{CP}(D^{0}to K^{+}K^{-}eta) = [-1.4pm 3.3,({rm stat})pm 1.1,({rm syst})]%,, A_{CP}(D^{0}tophieta) = [-1.9pm 4.4,({rm stat})pm 0.6,({rm syst})]%,. $$ The results for $$D^{0}topi^{+}pi^{-}eta$$ are a significant improvement over previous results. The branching fraction and $$A_{CP}$$ results for $$D^{0}to K^{+}K^{-}eta$$, and the $$A_{CP}$$ result for $$D^{0}tophieta$$, are the first such measurements. No evidence for $$CP$$ violation is found in any of these decays.

Using a data sample of 980 fb$$^{-1}$$ collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $$e^+e^-$$ collider, we study the processes of $$Xi^0_cto Lambdabar K^{*0}$$, $$Xi^0_cto Sigma^0bar K^{*0}$$, and $$Xi^0_cto Sigma^+K^{*-}$$ for the first time. The relative branching ratios to the normalization mode of $$Xi^0_c to Xi^- pi^+$$ are measured to be $${cal B}(Xi^0_cto Lambdabar K^{*0})/{cal B}(Xi_c^0 to Xi^-pi^+)=0.18 pm 0.02({rm stat.})pm0.01({rm syst.}),$$ $${cal B}(Xi^0_cto Sigma^0bar K^{*0})/{cal B}(Xi_c^0to Xi^-pi^+)=0.69pm0.03({rm stat.})pm0.03({rm syst.}),$$ $${cal B}(Xi^0_cto Sigma^+K^{*-})/{cal B}(Xi_c^0to Xi^-pi^+)=0.34pm0.06({rm stat.})pm0.02({rm syst.}),$$ where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. We obtain the branching fractions of $$Xi^0_cto Lambdabar K^{*0}$$, $$Xi^0_cto Sigma^0bar K^{*0}$$, and $$Xi^0_cto Sigma^+K^{*-}$$ to be $${cal B}(Xi^0_cto Lambdabar K^{*0})=(3.3pm0.3({rm stat.})pm0.2({rm syst.})pm1.0({rm ref.}))times10^{-3},$$ $${cal B}(Xi^0_cto Sigma^0bar K^{*0})=(12.4pm0.5({rm stat.})pm0.5({rm syst.})pm3.6({rm ref.}))times10^{-3},$$ $${cal B}(Xi^0_cto Sigma^+K^{*-})=(6.1pm1.0({rm stat.})pm0.4({rm syst.})pm1.8({rm ref.}))times10^{-3},$$ where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and from $${cal B}(Xi_c^0 to Xi^-pi^+)$$, respectively. The asymmetry parameters $$alpha(Xi^0_cto Lambdabar K^{*0})$$ and $$alpha(Xi^0_cto Sigma^+K^{*-})$$ are $$0.15pm0.22({rm stat.})pm0.04({rm syst.})$$ and $$-0.52pm0.30({rm stat.})pm0.02({rm syst.})$$, respectively, where the uncertainties are statistical followed by systematic.

We report the first measurement of the exclusive cross sections $$e^+e^-to Bbar{B}$$, $$e^+e^-to Bbar{B}^*$$, and $$e^+e^-to B^*bar{B}^*$$ in the energy range from 10.63 GeV to 11.02 GeV. The $$B$$ mesons are fully reconstructed in a large number of hadronic final states and the three channels are identified using a beam-constrained-mass variable. The shapes of the exclusive cross sections show oscillatory behavior with several maxima and minima. The results are obtained using data collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $$e^+e^-$$ collider.

We present a search for the dark photon $$A^{prime}$$ in the $$B^0 to A^{prime} A^{prime}$$ decays, where $$A^{prime}$$ subsequently decays to $$e^+e^-$$, $$mu^+ mu^-$$, and $$pi^+ pi^-$$. The search is performed by analyzing $$772 times 10^6$$ $$Boverline{B}$$ events collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB $$e^+ e^-$$ energy-asymmetric collider at the $$Upsilon (4S)$$ resonance. No signal is found in the dark photon mass range $$0.01~mathrm{GeV}/c^2 le m_{A^{prime}} le 2.62~mathrm{GeV}/c^2$$, and we set upper limits of the branching fraction of $$B^0 to A^{prime} A^{prime}$$ at the 90% confidence level. The products of branching fractions, $$mathcal{B}(B^0 to A^{prime} A^{prime}) times mathcal{B}(A^{prime} to e^+ e^-)^2$$ and $$mathcal{B}(B^0 to A^{prime} A^{prime}) times mathcal{B}(A^{prime} to mu^+ mu^-)^2$$, have limits of the order of $$10^{-8}$$ depending on the $$A^{prime}$$ mass. Furthermore, considering $$A^{prime}$$ decay rate to each pair of charged particles, the upper limits of $$mathcal{B}(B^0 to A^{prime} A^{prime})$$ are of the order of $$10^{-8}$$-$$10^{-5}$$. From the upper limits of $$mathcal{B}(B^0 to A^{prime} A^{prime})$$, we obtain the Higgs portal coupling for each assumed dark photon and dark Higgs mass. The Higgs portal couplings are of the order of $$10^{-2}$$-$$10^{-1}$$ at $$m_{h'} simeq m_{B^0} pm 40~mathrm{MeV}/c^2$$ and $$10^{-1}$$-$$1$$ at $$m_{h'} simeq m_{B^0} pm 3~mathrm{GeV}/c^2$$.

We present measurements of the branching fractions for the decays $$Bto K mu^{+}mu^{-}$$ and $$Bto K e^{+}e^{-}$$, and their ratio ($$R_{K}$$), using a data sample of 711 $${rm fb^{-1}}$$ that contains $$772 times 10^{6}$$ $$Bbar{B}$$ events. The data were collected at the $$Upsilon(4S)$$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $$e^{+}e^{-}$$ collider. The ratio $$R_{K}$$ is measured in five bins of dilepton invariant-mass-squared ($$q^{2}$$): $$q^{2} in (0.1, 4.0), (4.0, 8.12), (1.0, 6.0)$$, $$(10.2, 12.8)$$ and ($$ > 14.18) ;{rm GeV^{2}}/c^{4}$$, along with the whole $$q^2$$ region. The $$R_{K}$$ value for $$q^{2} in (1.0, 6.0) ;{rm GeV^{2}}/c^{4}$$ is $$1.03^{+0.28}_{-0.24} pm 0.01$$. The first and second uncertainties listed are statistical and systematic, respectively. All results for $$R_{K}$$ are consistent with Standard Model predictions. We also measure $$C!P$$-averaged isospin asymmetries in the same $$q^{2}$$ bins. The results are consistent with a null asymmetry, with the largest difference of 2.6 standard deviations occurring for the $$q^{2}in(1.0,6.0) ;{rm GeV^{2}}/c^{4}$$ bin in the mode with muon final states. The measured differential branching fractions, $${dcal B}/{dq^{2}}$$, are consistent with theoretical predictions for charged $$B$$ decays, while the corresponding values are below the expectations for neutral $$B$$ decays. We have also searched for lepton-flavor-violating $$B rightarrow Kmu^{pm}e^{mp}$$ decays and set $$90%$$ confidence-level upper limits on the branching fraction in the range of $$10^{-8}$$ for $$B^{+} rightarrow K^{+}mu^{pm}e^{mp}$$, and $$B^{0} rightarrow K^{0}mu^{pm}e^{mp}$$ modes.

The first dedicated search for the $$eta_{c2}(1D)$$ is carried out using the decays $$B^+ rightarrow eta_{c2}(1D) K^+$$, $$B^0 rightarrow eta_{c2}(1D) K^0_S$$, $$B^0 rightarrow eta_{c2}(1D) pi^- K^+$$, and $$B^+ rightarrow eta_{c2}(1D) pi^+ K^0_S$$ with $$eta_{c2}(1D) to h_c gamma$$. No significant signal is found. For the $$eta_{c2}(1D)$$ mass range between $$3795$$ and $$3845 mathrm{MeV}/c^2$$, the branching-fraction upper limits are determined to be $$mathcal{B}(B^+ rightarrow eta_{c2}(1D) K^+) times mathcal{B}(eta_{c2}(1D) to h_c gamma) < 3.7 times 10^{-5}$$, $$mathcal{B}(B^0 rightarrow eta_{c2}(1D) K^0_S) times mathcal{B}(eta_{c2}(1D) to h_c gamma) < 3.5 times 10^{-5}$$, $$mathcal{B}(B^0 rightarrow eta_{c2}(1D) pi^- K^+) times mathcal{B}(eta_{c2}(1D) to h_c gamma) < 1.0 times 10^{-4}$$, and $$mathcal{B}(B^+ rightarrow eta_{c2}(1D) pi^+ K^0_S) times mathcal{B}(eta_{c2}(1D) to h_c gamma) < 1.1 times 10^{-4}$$ at 90% C. We report a new measurement of the $$e^+e^-toUpsilon(nS)pi^+pi^-$$ ($$n=1,2,3$$) cross sections at energies from 10.52 to 11.02 GeV using data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $$e^+e^-$$ collider. We observe a new structure in the energy dependence of the cross sections; if described by a Breit-Wigner function its mass and width are found to be $$M=(10752.7pm5.9,^{+0.7}_{-1.1}),$$MeV/$$c^2$$ and $$Gamma=(35.5^{+17.6}_{-11.3},^{+3.9}_{-3.3}),$$MeV, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. The global significance of the new structure that includes a systematic uncertainty is 6.7 standard deviations. We also find evidence for the $$e^+e^-toUpsilon(1S)pi^+pi^-$$ process at the energy 10.52 GeV, which is below the $$Bbar{B}$$ threshold.

We present the first model-independent measurement of the CKM unitarity triangle angle $$phi_3$$ using $$B^{pm}to D(K_{rm S}^0pi^+pi^-pi^0)K^{pm}$$ decays, where $$D$$ indicates either a $$D^{0}$$ or $$overline{D}^{0}$$ meson. Measurements of the strong-phase difference of the $$D to K_{rm S}^0pi^+pi^-pi^0$$ amplitude obtained from CLEO-c data are used as input. This analysis is based on the full Belle data set of $$772times 10^{6}$$ $$Boverline{B}$$ events collected at the $$Upsilon(4S)$$ resonance. We obtain $$phi_3 = (5.7~^{+10.2}_{-8.8} pm 3.5 pm 5.7)^{circ}$$ and the suppressed amplitude ratio $$r_{B} = 0.323 pm 0.147 pm 0.023 pm 0.051$$. Here the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic, and the third is due to the precision of the strong-phase parameters measured from CLEO-c data. The 95% confidence interval on $$phi_3$$ is $$(-29.7,~109.5)^{circ}$$, which is consistent with the current world average.
