To investigate the effect of weather on the composition of the dust and the possible origin of the dust, the elemental composition airborne dust was determined by INAA. The analyzed elements could be classified into 3 groups by the variation of concentration in the samples. The difference in concentration pattern may reflect the effect of rainfalls.

The aim of this study is to develop a method to evaluate the effect of Si and Al content on Cs leaching behavior from concrete by combining Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA), Particle Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) and Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS). It could be quite useful for evaluation of radiation source distribution in decommissioning work of 1F and evaluation of radioactivity of dismantled wastes. In this presentation, the research plan and the applicability of INAA based on the measurement results of low-concentration Cs in concrete samples are shown.
