The tritium collection method combined a CuO bed and water bubbles was not suitable to measure transient behavior of tritium released from LiTiO
during neutron irradiation because tritium released behavior was changed to be delayed due to adsorption of oxidized tritium on the CuO. Hence, the tritium collection method with hydrophobic catalyst instead of the CuO was demonstrated and succeeded the accurate release measurement of tritium from Li
TiO
. With the method, we assessed the behavior of tritium release under the various conditions since tritium should be released from Li
TiO
as the form of HT as much as possible from the view point of the fuel cycle. Our results indicated; promotion of isotopic exchange reaction on the surface of Li
TiO
by addition of hydrogen in sweep gas is mandatory in order to release tritium smoothly from Li
TiO
irradiated with neutrons; the favorable sweep gas to release as the form of HT was hydrogen added inert gas; and the temperature of Li
TiO
was the dominant parameter to control the chemical form of tritium released from the Li
TiO
.

By the improvement of heat treatment process for blanket module fabrication, a fine-grained microstructure of F82H, can be obtained by homogenizing it at 1150 C followed by normalizing at 930
C after the HIP process. Moreover, a promising bonding process for a tungsten armor and an F82H structural material was developed by using a uniaxial hot compression without any artificial compliant layer. Also, it has been confirmed that a fatigue lifetime correlation, which was developed for ITER divertor, can be applicable for F82H first wall mock-up. As for R&D on a breeder material, Li
TiO
, the effect of compression loads on thermal conductivity of pebble beds has been clarified. JAERI have extensively developed key technologies for ITER-TBM, and now steps up into an engineering R&D stage, where integrated performance of TBM structures will be demonstrated by scalable mock-ups.

samples with high energy oxygen ions were examined by the use of Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The Raman spectra of the irradiated samples do not show any evidence of destruction of Li
TiO
structure. On the other hand, the Bragg peak intensity of XRD is decreased with the increasing the ion fluence. Especially, the intensity of (002) supercell peak is drastically reduced after the irradiation to 1.2E+19 ions/m
. This result implies that partial site mixing between Li and Ti atoms is induced by the irradiation. The transition to such a disordering is observed also by SEM examination; the grain structure at surface layer is vanished after the irradiation.
