An efficient methodology for separating the radiocaesium-bearing micro particles (CsMPs) released by the TEPCO's Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Station accident is required to investigate their spatial distribution and physicochemical properties. In this report we developed an efficiency separation method for CsMP from litters since the radiocaesium in litter may affect the radiocaesium cycling in forest ecosystem. One CsMP separation from litter containing lots of soil particles was attained within three days using electron microscopic analysis with digestion treatment of organic matter. This methodology is expected as CsMPs efficient separation method for not only forest floor litter but also barks and leaves of living tree, and other organic materials in the forested environment.

The profile functions and rotation frequencies of microislands are investigated with the two-fluid magnetohydrodynamics. The microislands are described in terms of two profile functions, one of which characterizes the electric field and perturbed plasma density, and second the perturbed electron temperature. The problem of rotation frequencies of microislands is discussed.

Gafchromic film (MD-1260) characterized for MeV/u ion beams was tested for measurement of the lateral distribution profiles in the plastic phantom. Gafchromic film was irradiated to 120 Gy using 450 MeV Xe
ions through the 10
thick mesh mask having 6
m line-width and 19
inner latice distance to make artificial dose distribution on the film. Analysis of radiation-induced color change of the film was tried using a microscopic spectrophotpmeter having 1
dia. analyzing light. The film has a potencial to know exact lateral irradiation area with sufficient sharpness and dose distribution by converting absorbance to dose on he basis of dose response characteristics, with spatial resolution of 1

We try to observe a new vortex state including anti-vortex by introducing small bores or hollows in microscopic superconductors. We made direct observations of vortex states of microscopic square superconducting samples with 5 bores, located the center of the sample and four corners, by using a scanning SQUID microscope. A unique vortex alignment at low vorticity (L5) is observed in comparison with the previous measurements on the samples with no bore. It becomes clear that the vortex alignment is determined by the distance of bores and the interaction among the vortices.
