Pu
O
(y = 0.30 and 0.45) and PuO
was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry. The results are in relatively good agreement with the literature data, except for plutonia. Our values indicate that the critical temperature of the miscibility gap in Pu-O is 30
50 K lower than previously reported. Finally, the systematic experimental procedure allowed us refining the locus of the solvus existing in hypostoichiometric U

Having the QGP formation confirmed at RHIC and LHC, the next step of the research is to look for the critical end point and the first order phase boundary. For this purpose, new heavy ion acceleration schema to obtain
10 AGeV heavy ion beam has been proposed in Germany, Russia, China and Japan. Unlike at the RHIC 200 GeV and LHC, the heavy ion collisions of
10 AGeV region, the matter should have larger
, and we may reach the region of the interest. J-PARC is the high intensity proton accelerator at the energy of 30 GeV. With an additional heavy ion injector, high intensity heavy ion beams can be obtained. Superior performance of the J-PARC-HI scheme and proposed experiments are discussed.

Si
with the tetragonal structure by the Sn-flux method and measured the magnetic susceptibility and magnetization. UCu
Si
is confirmed to order antiferromagnetically below
= 106 K, and follows a successive ferromagnetic ordering at
= 100 K. The magnetic properties are highly anisotropic, reflecting the crystal structure. An easy-axis of magnetization is found to be the [001] direction (
-axis), while the [100] direction (
-axis) corresponds to the hard-axis in magnetization. The saturation moment is determined as 1.8
/U.

observations of AgI high pressure and high temperature up to 6.0 GPa and 1000 K have been performed to investigate the phase relations between
-AgI, rocksalt-type, disordered rocksalt-type, and liquid phases. The three phases of
-AgI, disordered rocksalt-type, and liquid meet in a triple point in the vicinity of 823 K and 1.3 GPa. The melting curve of the disordered rocksalt phase is linear with a positive slope. The transition between rocksalt and the disordered rocksalt phases is a broad and diffuse disordering type within the same structure. The formation of the disordered rocksalt phase has been hence estimated with the variation of a relative intensity ratio of (111) and (200) diffraction from the rocksalt phase. With increasing pressure the rocksalt phase becomes stabel at high temperature. At 6.0 GPa the rocksalt phase directly melts without the transition to the disordered rocksalt phase.
